I'm just wondering if it'll reference Sonic Shuffle at all. Apparently that game has never been ported anywhere outside of the Dreamcast?
Oh come on that's no excuse Sonic was conceived to be someone to chase Mario's coattails.
I always figured that porting over Sonic Shuffle would necessarily involve paying Hudson Soft (developer of both that game and the first 8 Mario Party games) or, after the buyout, Konami, for the ability to use Hudson's code, whether or not they still had the source code itself. Couple that with it not being a big hit like the Adventure games were, and Sega doesn't really have much incentive to spend such money on it.

"Cynic, n. — A blackguard whose faulty vision sees things as they are, not as they ought to be." - The Devil's DictionaryI feel like there's no real conspiracy to Shuffle not having any ports. It probably never got any ports simply because it's a very average Mario Party-like. It's unremarkable and and not super memorable, there's not really any demand for a port of it from any demographic.
Not to mention, Shuffle's movement and attacks were determined by a deck of cards as opposed to dice, which were kept hidden from other players via the VMUs that were unique to the Dreamcast controller. A re-release for Shuffle would need to overhaul the whole card mechanic to keep things balanced in multiplayer games, and of course that's a lot of work for a game not many people care about.
I do hope we could get a new Sonic Party Game, slim as that is these days...
Sonic Shuffle is one of my favorite games to the point where it's the reason I kept my Dreamcast. (And I made its trope page.)

The Protomen enhanced my life.We all know that strechy Eggman is asking for parody and memes.
The Youtube Poop crowd gon have some fun with that for sure.
That’s before Elderitch Abomination stuff comes into play.
Any wagers on if we get stuff like Pirhana Plants On Parade.
One last thing. The Sheep is actually a Lord of Nightmares using Eggman and Cream to her own ends.
For all we know, she’s out to bring a certain Lord of Dark voiced by Dario Coates into Sonic’s World.
Okay so I saw this comment on a thread I was in, and well:
"It’s the Dark Path from Shadow the Hedgehog; a really good story about how manipulation and parental abuse molds people into destructive monsters, but attached to such an immature edgefest in its opening acts that it comes off as more of the same unless you’re realizing it’s not part of the rest of the muck."
Huh, the Dark Path really is kind of like that.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"Worth pointing out that Shuffle DID have an option to let your cards be visible on your turn, no VMU required.
It obviously changes the dynamics of the game (for example, everyone can memorise who has the Eggman card and just not steal from the player with the card), but the workaround for no Dreamcast (or even a Dreamcast with only one VMU) already exists in Shuffle as-is.
So TIL something new about Sonic Adventure, you all know that texture of a bikini(?) wearing girl character that you can sometimes see in Speed Highway
?
Satoshi Okano, a former artist at Sega who worked on the game, reveals it was a planned spider girl
, who went unused.
It goes deeper than that however, as Okano also recently revealed full body concept sketches
of this "spider-girl" as well as "Fly the Vampire," from a completely separate project (Astro GO! GO!).
Now that I think about it, Rouge the Bat could have been based on Spider-Girl's heart motif.
Edited for corrections.

Whoa, I wonder if they would've become recurring characters or just, like, mission quest people.
The Protomen enhanced my life.On the dark path’s themes: I do notice Black Doom’s MO is based on reopening old wounds via cherry picking
Contrast with Sonic’s Crew’s approach (Space Gadget, Chaotix) of help us out and you’ll probably find the full picture along the way.
Heck, the Semi Hero hero ending was Vector (in a poorly worded way) trying to tell Shadow to dig deeper, the truth isn’t as horrible as you think. He was right.
Shadow Android would have been a good way to keep the character around without cheapening Adventure 2, IMO.
Heck, a handful of elite Androids with different personalities running around would be a good way to Broad Strokes most of Shadow's game in general.

...May I inquire why "fuck the towers", whilst in the Sonic thread?

Self-professed Wild Card who thinks cynicism isn't so bad.The towers are merciless Nintendo Hard platforming. The likes of seen not seen since Eggmanland. At least the music is great.

, but forgot to.

Note about Fly the Vampire up there: he's from a separate project
.

How "dreamlike" do you think Dream Team will be, on a scale from Sonic Shuffle to LSD: Dream Emulator? I'm hoping it's at least as trippy as NiGHTS into Dreams….
