She actually is mentioned in Japanese version(2:52, put captions on):
I still have to second evil santa. Again, the references are so subtle that they can be easily retconned away next game, esp if Frontiers remains the only game to be written by Ian. It's gonna take an actual in the flesh appearance to cement the canonization of the comics (and sticks)
(and again, I have to ask if Tangle and Sticks were even referenced in the JP script?) NVM got
'd by hard evidence.

I'd generally agree that there's a difference between paying lip service to a character being canon and actually following through by utilizing the character in any way.
"There's a single voice line that references Tangle indirectly if you bring Sonic to a specific area and have him stand in a certain spot" means they're willing to acknowledge IDW, if in an extremely obtuse way, but not much else.
Plus, Sticks also gets a mention, and because Boom is clearly its own continuity, that makes the mentioned Sticks a different incarnation of the chatacter, and so the Tangle that was mentioned is just as possibly an alternate version.
My musician pageFinally picked up Origins Plus for cheap have and have almost finished a playthrough of each game with a different character (Sonic in 1, Knuckles in CD, Tails in 2, Amy in 3&K). finished 1, I think it actually confirmed Marble Zone as being one of the worst stages in Classic Sonic for me.
The aesthetics aren't terribly interesting, there's too much waiting around with platforms, and it just has a general lack of flow in a level that in no way plays to Sonic's strengths gameplay wise. Even as maligned as Labyrinth Zone is, at least there's a novelty to it and the worst aspects come more from cheap enemy placement than the water itself.
Honestly having Knuckles abilities made for the most enjoyable playthrough of CD I've ever had. The gliding and climbing arguably make him more fit for the level design than Sonic and even as someone that prefers to go for the Time Stones then the Generators, its nice to have a character more built for exploration for future replays.
Tails in 2 was fine, though the lack of a Super form in a standard playthrough is a little annoying. I kind of wish I'd swapped him and Sonic in the respective games I played because 2's speedy level design is so build for the latter's use of the drop dash and 1 for the former's flight during the inconsistent platforming.
Amy's been fun (just beat the Sonic 3 portion), though her lack of an interesting jumping option does stand out. Given that Superstars is giving her a double jump, its a little surprising that they didn't do the same here as it easily would have fit her with hammer spin. Glad she's here, but she's probably going to feel a little incomplete to me.
This video ranks Marble Zone as the second worst level in the classic series, after Metropolis.
I actually think the aesthetics are one of the main reasons you don't see people hate on this level. I don't know if there's another Sonic level with that sort of gothic vibe to it. And the music is great.
I agree with Targetmaster Joe that some of these sites that state the condition of the IDW comics might not be reliable. Actually, I never heard of this site until just now.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!My view is that Game Tangle and IDW are two different versions of the same character. Just like Stay Sonic, Satam, Archie Comics and Sonic The Comic all have a Sally Acorn in but she isn't same character in them. She is a Princess in two of them (Satam and Archie) but in the other two (Stay Sonic and Stc) she is an ordinary civilian like Sonic and Tails but in all she is a friend of Sonic.

"May your heart be your guiding key"I feel the same in regards to Tangle. Name dropping her in Sonic Frontiers is not going to do much to convince everyone that IDW is canon. The only reason why IDW would be canon to the games is because it takes place after Sonic Forces at the beginning of its run. Unless the IDW comics mentioned the events from Sonic Frontiers at some point during its run or unless the Sonic games introduced a story line from the comics, like say the Metal Virus arc, then it's going to be hard to see IDW as being canon to the games.

I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!I'd be really curious to see Sage appear in the IDW comics as she'd be a real shake up in how team sonic interact with Robotnik, but I can't see them having IDW jump to post Frontiers until they solidly know what the writing for Frontiers 2 is going to be. Otherwise there's a risk of the two properties stepping on each other's toes (especially in regards to what Sage does next)
Well its not like there isn't a precedent of going backwards in the time line that extended as far as...the very next game!
(even within the Modern era games there is still the advanced trilogy that introduced Cream after her cameo in Adventure 2 IIRC)
that might be the case, I'm not sure if the SA 2 cameo was a remake only thing (though I'm still willing to count it as a retcon if it is)

Cream's first official game was Advance 2. She was created for Heroes, but Sega decided to put her in the Advance series as an early introduction. She essentially replaced Amy.
She also cameoed in Mega Collection and Adventure DX, which you might be thinking of.

It was a remake only cameo.
She did not appear in either version of Sonic Adventure 2.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.a sweet ass cover of Famitsu that features Sonic Superstars

Really good, almost...too good.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Marble zone isn't the worst zone what? The music is great and while slow it's honestly not a bad level.
I don't think metropolis is the worst either. It's just hard with annoying enemies. I think death egg is harder IMO.
I think sandopolis is the worst or a runner up for worst. I guess it's pretty unique but I never liked it.

I don't think I ever legitimately beat Labyrinth Zone or Wing Fortress Zone.
The Protomen enhanced my life.
