A certain someone checks out TFH. He also mentions that while he did like the game, the story not so much. But we'll cross that ridge when we get to it. And considering he hasn't even went over any of the Meta Era yet, with the exception of Free Riders, it's gonna take quite a while for us to get to that bridge.

No rain could douse the flames that burn within me!
If there is anything, I'd expect it to tie into Superstars. Most of the prior ones tie into the game releasing nearest it.
A Twitter takeover with Sage - she can use her infinite power from Cyberspace to browse the webs in an instant.
Sage: Father, what is Twitter?
Eggman: A place where people incessantly squabble over the smallest things. Perfect for an evil genius like me.

I do wonder if there will be anymore Sonic Twitter Takeovers from this point forward, especially with how Twitter had changed recently. If Twitter (or X) becomes much harder for anyone to be on anymore, do you think they will move the Twitter Takeovers to Threads or Blue Sky?
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!Bluesky being invitation only would be counterproductive for this sort of thing, and last I heard, Threads lacks basic following functionality, which would not help with this sort of thing.
My musician pageI imagine if Twitter does explode, they'd take it to something like Twitch. There's already an official Sega Twitch channel, iirc.
But as bad a spot as Twitter is in right now, I don't think we're quite to the point of companies abandoning ship yet.

I just woke up from a dream about a new version of Sonic Spinball for the SNES that had Sonic, Knuckles, Classic Amy, Fang, Rouge, Silver, Surge, and Kit as playable characters, and it had 3 phases for Eggman's final boss fight—one with a Gravity Screw, one where he used elemental attacks so you had to use the different shields, and one that was basically all heavy spiked balls that you had to survive long enough for it to collapse under its own weight.
And it all apparently started with an argument over pizza toppings.

The Protomen enhanced my life.I think that for the time being I will ignore Pariah's videos, if you don't mind. I have nothing but respect for the guy, but after the Black Knight video he has done nothing but do editorials, one incluiding the "Sonic had a continuity and characters evolving", which I frankly don't believe anymore.
It's better I keep my distance. Lord knows I've had nothing but bad experiences with the weeb side of the rodent.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.Well, I started a new save in Sonic Frontiers and played it a lot for the next few days until I got to Ouranos Island, and then I went to The Final Horizon (in other words, Another Story).
I'd been enjoying revisiting the game, and the new content such as the extra hidden Koko whose challenges I found fun.
But I hate The Final Horizon.
It's super hard to the point that I just find it frustrating, not fun. Sure, I enjoyed some of the platforming elements. But the level of challenge skyrocketed to the point where it goes from "fun hard" (like Cyber Space 3-6, which I love but many people don't) to obnoxious. Lots of falling blocks, stuff floating in the air - it's not the terrain that was modified, but they put lots of boxes and platforms in the air and built challenge around total perfection. And it's in everything, from enemies to map puzzles to Cyber Space levels.
And I keep finding koko that I can't collect because I'm the wrong character. Sorry, this is for Amy, for Knuckles, for Tails. I got to the point where I play as Sonic, and got to some Cyber Space levels. No longer is reaching the end one of the goals, no, I have to collect five coins that disappear within an incredibly anal time limit and beat the level without dying once. Stuff like that.
To me, it's just not fun. I eventually just switched back to my main save (I'm glad they split your save game in two for this content) and was back to actually having fun.
Yes, there's a new story, and some of it looked interesting, while some looked standard video gamey ("You must scale the four towers..." "Got it, collect this to get that, that to get that other thing, and that other thing to make me stronger. Back in a flash."). I'll just use YouTube to see the story of the new DLC, because I just hate the gameplay that much.
Damn. Sounds like Sega has already burned up the good will they gained with Frontiers.
I'm hoping this doesn't lead to them abandoning everything in this game (both good and bad) with the next game like they usually do.
Like, maybe they can still patch the issue with this one to make it more fun and work on things for the next game.
Edit:
Is that for me, or for Bonsai?

One Strip! One Strip! For once, I think the difficulty being excessive is something I've seen the majority Sonic fans united on.
My musician pageI'm not trying to take it personally. Like, this is the first time I've commented on the Frontier DLC.
I'm just a little worried about it since I've seen most here have issues with it. Like, Sonic is kinda always on thin ice considering it rises up only to fall back down quite often. So when Frontier seemed to be a hit, only for many to have problems with the Final Horizon, I wondered if Sega had dropped the ball again.
You're right that it may be too early to say that. Even if it is, the base game might still give them a lot of credibility, and if they learn from both, it may lead to better stuff in the future.
One Strip! One Strip!
With all due respect, you're coming across as toxically positive. Like, you're implying people's negative experiences are invalid.

My musician pageI just don't like it where just one single aspect of an update suddenly makes something a whole dud, which reeks of Accentuating the Negative.
"Cynicism is not realistic and tough. It's unrealistic and kind of cowardly because it means you don't have to try."It's kinda weird to call it "one aspect" when it's interspersed throughout the whole thing".
That's like calling an unlikeable protagonist "just one flaw".
True, there are some such players, though in the Sonic fandom which has had a relatively low difficulty following Unleashed, they'd be a minority of the playerbase.

My musician page

Do you think we'll ever get "Fastest Thing Alive"
in a new Sonic game?
I miss you.
