I'd guess it's a power-up from Sage given the blue eyes/her blue-white color scheme when being good.
The Protomen enhanced my life.Wow...
Sonic got a super form that changes his spikes from down to up...
But I don't think anyone ever realized that Shadow got a super form that didn't change his spikes at all.
Just like Dragon Ball.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. There's a concept for an adult Maria design on Tumblr
and it is AMAZING.
Putting aside Super Saiyan 2 comparisons (as much as I kinda love them), the red aura makes me think it's more like the Super Sonic but now adding on top of the Cyber Corruption stuff that Frontiers has been associated with visually.
It might be like a side grade exclusive to the cyber corruption stuff and Sega could hand wave it later by saying he can't access it again due to his exposure to the ancients technology wearing off when they leave the island.
Unless i'm misremembering, i feel like all of Sonic's new stuff in Frontiers was the result of the Cyberspace shenanigans. Though I guess this makes it less "Hyper" and more "Cyber Corrupted Super Sonic" that I've seen fan art depictions of.

If they are planning on bringing Hyper back (which I doubt) they'll more likely make him white instead of flashing colors again. The last time I played 3&K (Why? I don't know) while I was still fine health wise, the flashing colors was starting to kind of bother me. And that was on a small screen where Sonic's model was relatively small. Combine his much bigger model in Frontiers along with the fact the camera tends to zoom into Sonic during the Titan fights, and his erratic movement, and yeah, you already know where this is going, so I need not explain any further.
No rain could douse the flames that burn within me!So, Frontiers related. In the Bumblekast, Flynn believes that The End is weaker than Solaris.
Considering one is a sun, and the other is a condescending moon, I'm not remotely surprised.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back. Some people disagree (not surprising) due to context. Solaris needed the Chaos Emeralds to destroy existence and time itself.
The End only needed to get out of Cyberspace and some time to threaten the Universe.
I find myself disagreeing with the detractos. In context, the Chaos Emeralds didnt power Solaris: they brought him back by fusing Mephiles and Iblis. It seems Solaris was always capable of destroying everything until the Duke separated it and then sealed him in Elise and the Scepter.
There is the question if Solaris, the deity, has the raw power to destroy The End. It took Super Sonic and Supreme to do so, and Solaris was capable of hurting Super Sonic... But Solaris doesnt appear to have much stamina. His defense was that he existed in múltiple timelines, hence Shadow and Silver, but Super Sonic was able to defeat him.
In a hypothetical fight between both, I see a stalemate. Solaris couldnt destroy The End; but The End couldnt destroy Solaris in the three time periods, only on the present.
It's funny there is a sun vs moon dynamic in this topic.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.He said The End was 2nd at worst, and if not 2nd then 1st, and even said that a fight between Solaris and The End would be a sight to behold.
His main argument being that we've seen Solaris's max potential, but we haven't seen The End's (who has only displayed planet busting so far).
So as far as secondary Wo G is concerned, Solaris and The End are the two top dogs of the power totem.

Actually, are we sure this isn't Hyper Sonic after all? While it's usually depicted as White, there is a Yellow pallet used for it. Or maybe this is just a visual indicator that Sonic gets some new Cyber powers from the Ancients?
