I'm assuming it was a Screwed by the Network case with Underground. Presumably stemmed from the networks getting bored with Sonic after a while
I remember Sonic Underground aired on Teletoon in Canada, a channel that, at the time, we didn't technically get. By that, I mean, we didn't pay for it, but we got a black and white image with a layer of static over top, and just static instead of audio, though if I hit mute, I could get subtitles. That was my first exposure to the show. I didn't watch it a bunch, but when I saw Knuckles was a character, I would occasionally turn it on hoping I'd catch an episode with him in it. Also blew my mind that Knuckles' great grandfather from the comic, Athair, was a character.

Underground came on at 830am every weekday. Long after I was already in school, I only ever saw it during the Summer months.
Ao S Th was also on Toom Disney at 9am, once again only ever saw it in the Summer months... or sick days.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.A Did You Know Gaming video about three cancelled Sonic games, Sister Sonic, Sonic Day, and the sequel to Sonic Chronicles.
Regarding Argus from Chronicles, the vibe I got from the game was that Argus was a good dude for locking away these super dangerous civilizations, because most of them seemed like they were threatening and expansionist, but it seems that in the sequel they were going to reveal that he was in fact a bad dude.
Sounds like Sister Sonic was an egregious case of "we have an entirely different property we need to do something with, why don't we dump it on top of a different series for brand recognition and force the two together somehow!" Syndrome, almost exactly like what happened with Street Fighter 2010.
Dodged a bullet there.

Mean Bean Machine wasn't an egregious departure from everything else in the universe. It was weird, but it wasn't "pass off this blatant unrelated grungy dystopian sci-fi setting and conflict as something in continuity with our most popular series" weird, like Sister Sonic would've been and Street Fighter 2010 was.
As for Sonic Chronicles 2, I'm not personally a huge fan of the concepts in the first one, but I thought it was a nifty idea, and the sequel sounds like it would've been even niftier. And it's really sad to hear that it was a business relationship that both Bioware and Sega mutually enjoyed and respected, before it all fell apart. Thanks Ken Penders.
I suspect Sega might've reused the concept of Argus as The End, years later. Likewise, the idea of Sonic and co building a resistance in a world that Eggman has conquered in their absence, though naturally that could also come from the comics.

The Ultimate Incarnation of EvilThe Sonic social media manager is surveying what genres we'd like to see for a Sonic game
.
Now, there's nothing saying this will go anywhere. However, RPG, rhythm, and fighting (especially 2D) are quite popular responses.
My musician pageSonic needs a sportsball game all to itself, similar to Super Mario Strikers or Mutant Football League. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games is a decent minigame collection, but it's not enough. Maybe an echidna-themed Mesoamerican ballgame
would be a good template.
Wow maybe Sega’s giving them to greenlight to make more content?
I really feel like they revisit a Sonic rpg. Even a short one done by the same team that did Murder would be a lot of fun.
A Dating Sim could be hilariously disastrous in a good way.

I never understood why they showed Sonic Underground so early in the morning. I remembered when the show first came out and I couldn't really watch it at that moment because it came out during the time where I had to go to school. So, the only way I was able to watch the episodes was if we recorded those episodes while we were in school.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!
