Unfortunately it left him with nowhere to go if he ever came back...
Which is why he turned into diet Vegeta.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Generations Shadow is funny. It’s explicitly not past Shadow, but present Shadow you fight in the boss battle, but his whole reason for doing so is basically “well, I don’t know what’s going on, but if fate is giving me an excuse to throw hands, then who am I do disagree…”
He clearly isn’t maliciously fighting Sonic, seeing as he joins in the Sonic cheerleader squad, but you still have to indulge his nostalgic competitiveness to get the Chaos Emerald.
I don’t remember much about TRS Shadow (or really anything about that plot), but I remember liking Free Riders Shadow, though I might be in the minority there.

I never said it wasn't, I'm just tired of hearing about it and Shadow fans crying foul whenever he shows up and he doesn't act like he does in 06, it's exhausting.
And as mentioned, he essentially peaks as a character there. You can't just do 06 constantly and expect the same result and this is something people never think about when they complain about and it absolutely drives me up the wall.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I think Free Riders was just super focused on being funny first and foremost. There's a lot of character-exaggeration-for-humor in that one, and Shadow and Rouge being way more dickish than usual is part of it.
I do think it's genuinely funny - to the point where it's the only time I've found some of the characters' gags at the time (like Vector being broke or Amy being obsessed with Sonic) funny at all - but... yeah. It's still character exaggeration, and you wouldn't want it to be the norm.
If anyone is curious about a fighting game fan's opinion on Sonic The Fighters, here's a 15 minute video that will satisfy that curiosity.
A Bumblekast
mentioned that Ian's idea for Hyper Sonic in Frontiers was to have the Ancients and Koco lend all their energy and power to boost Super Sonic's state into Hyper, letting them avenge their deaths and provide a reason why Hyper couldn't show up again cause they used up everything they had to do it.
My idea for Hyper Sonic is that it requires both the Master and the Chaos Emeralds, with the Chaos Emeralds enlarged by the Master Emerald into the size of Super Emeralds that means that the Chaos Emeralds are at full power. However the Chaos can only be transformed into their full powers in the Emerald chamber in the Hidden Palace Zone. Making it hard for Sonic and friends to unlock.
"May your heart be your guiding key"So I'm going to do a bit of research. I found the oldest Sonic fanfic involving Shadow, at least in Fanfiction.net. Shadow's story
, it was released in 2002, just before Heroes even debuted.
It appears to just be a prequel to Adventure 2.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.![]()
Incorrect I haven't watched Nazo. In Sonic The Comic once all the Chaos Emeralds are brought together on the Floating Island they turn into Super Emeralds size Emeralds and stay that size for the rest of the Comic.
Speaking of Sonic The Comic the online version had someone point out that if you just count the years that Shadow has been active then Shadow is around Cream and Charmy's age, just a kid.

I thought the 50 years of imprisonment was an And I Must Scream situation. Also, I'm pretty sure he was Born as an Adult

@Black Yakuzu The reason 06 is seen as a gold standard for Shadow was because it was a fantastic culmination of his Character Development in the franchise….before the Colors Era derailed him into Diet Vegeta.
06 had a Shadow who successfully dealt with his inner demons, growing into an unambigously morally good Anti-Hero with a genuinely unnerving perceptiveness that made him really difficult to manipulate (a rarity among good guys).
Think Type 2.5 anti hero, something we don’t get very much of, if ever.
It was one of the few redeeming traits of an awful trash fire of a game.
