The poofy sleeves of her classic outfit being gone make her look weird.

Mania's physics are confirmed to be the backbone of Superstars says Christian Whitehead. So, uh, rejoice? Mania was a hit, so I expect this to follow suit.
Certified, self-appointed Sonic VisionaryThat's fine for purists...but if the level design doesn't make use of it, doesn't matter too much.
And we've already seen 2 levels.

By make use of it, you mean the level design makes it satisfying to use.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. It doesn't seem like they gave Hyper Amy a special ability to differentiate from Super...
Sonic has a directional dash, Tails has his flicky army, and Knuckles has his own screen nuke...
Amy might not have anything...but also what would they even give her?

x4 I know, I just said that she had no differences.
I was also wondering what kind of extra thing she could have.

In Actuallygiveashitland?
Besides the obvious bigger hammer, maybe her double jump could be extended into a slow descent psuedo-glide? No sticking to walls or actually gaining height, though.
Alternatively, maybe she could destroy level terrain and save a little time by not having to deal with loops or platforming sections with low ceilings.
I was never really expecting much from Origins Amy. She's a tacked-on DLC addition to a port of games thirty years too old for them to have much in the way of leeway for rebalancing or reconceptualizing. They were never going to reinvent the wheel to have her have a unique moveset in any of the Origins games.
So she was either going to get some blanket ability that made her completely broken, or not have much at all. There's no real middle ground for that sort of thing, and we just got the latter.
We're more likely to see her conceived in a genuinely unique way in Superstars.

Takes me 0 seconds to come up with a unique ability: hold jump in the air (just like a drop dash) for Amy to pull out her hammer, giving her a bit of a disjointed hitbox but also causing her to do her hammer launch move when she lands on the ground, for more height than a regular jump could provide.
Is that going to be good? Probably not, given Tails and Knuckles already have superior vertical mobility, but it's at least distinctly different, and would give Amy some room for unique pathways relative to Sonic.
Well, the idea is there...but something is missing.
It needs to kill enemies without any effort.

I'm pretty sure Amy has MULTIPLE different mods which experiment with different playstyles, all more innovative than what Origins gave her.

Cognitive Dissonance fucking me up looking at that design.
