Sega and Sonic Channel presents June's Isekai Ogiri, featuring Tails and Marine!
...Though not quite how we were expecting them.
Sound off, who had Princess Tails and Prince Marine in their Sonic Channel bingo cards? Because I sure didn't!

A prince who is The Idiot from Osaka is a thing I didn't think I'd want until now.

Wow they remember Marine
Knight was a lot easier than the other two titans. Every bit as spectacular and hype, but it being a Breather Boss was welcome after Wyvern's somewhat overly long pre-super phase and Giganto's strict time limit.
Also wow playing Frontiers is the first time I heard Aqua Road from Forces and it's become a favorite of mine. Been playing it a lot on the last island.

I wonder if Tails being the princess is a reference to the 90's Viewer Gender Confusion surrounding the character and/or the urban legend that Tails was meant to be a girl?

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.So, a page back I put up a link of an orchestral version of
Live and Learn from Youtube.
Well, the guy who did that has some other stuff. Here's an Orchestral version of the Major boss theme from Sonic 3 & Knuckles:
And here's one for both acts of Angel Island:
And finally, here's one for His World:
Huh. While the boss theme isn't bad, I'd have to say that Live and Learn still has the best Orchestral version.
One Strip! One Strip! This Mania-style remix of the unused S3 theme really makes it sound like a proper Super Sonic theme
Sounds like Mario Golf or Tennis music...

Beat Frontiers, what a joy that was. I actually did the final fight twice because I forgot to turn on hard mode. it wasn't until this fight I realized that you become immune to the projectiles matching your color, once I learned that I was able to beat the final boss. Still took me around 4-5 tries though, it's tough. Would've preferred a non-shooter segment to finish it off but the sinister dialogue and lovely music were cool enough to where I still had fun with it. Supreme itself was easier than expected cause I was doing so much damage by that point. The ending was legit emotional, especially that shot of Eggman staring into the distance.
Also this game did a lot for the lore, and man I love Eggman's VA in this game especially in the memos. The End might be the most intimidating villain in Sonic history. Loved her boasts during her fight.

Stopped by a sonic fan event today and got to chat with a slice of the fandom I don't normally walk in (that is to say, sonic fans outside of this forum)
I was surprised by how many fans just refused to talk about Silver. I brought him up a few times because I was spit balling "why can male hedgehogs go super" even if I don't like that tidbit of canon and the fan theory that Silver is Shadow's descendent and some people still posses a real resentment of this character.
Amy meanwhile has way more fans now than I remember her having in the past. I'd pushed my want for Amy to be the Sonic's official manager and was surprised by how people really liked that idea. For ages Amy had really rocky showings in the videos games but the fandom seems to be much more fond her now.
I'm also glad to know I'm not the only person who thought Bark the Polar Bear was a girl.
It helps that the last few years of Sonic content have dedicated a lot of energy to reinvigorating Amy's character as something new and different and pretty great.
Silver could use a comeback game where he's not being a dipshit. He gets a lot of good use in the spinoffs and comics, but in the main games he's basically just "I'm going to jump to conclusions and kill you": the character.
Heck, he doesn't even appear in the spinoffs that are likely to reach the largest portions of general audiences, like the tv shows.

Are you ignoring Forces for a reason?
Or was Silver's role so minuscule that it didn't really matter?

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I'd give Amy at least one more game before souring on her completely...
She could get worse.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I feel like Amy is a really good foil for a lot of sonic characters because the sonic cast has a load of previously lonely people come together and discover friendships, but Amy has always prioritised friendship and had a lot of faith in the good in people, but she's also a busy body so she gives reason for other characters to snap back at her, so she pairs really well with Tails, Shadow, Sonic and less so Knuckles. Cream also has a great dynamic with her where they start on the same page because they both think so highly of people and have similar interests, but Cream will have to assert herself to keep Amy in check.
This is why I say Amy should be Sonic's formal manager, as in Frontiers he just downplays her to the best of his ability, but if he has to listen to her (and at least sees the value in it) it gets a lot more interesting.
On Silver, I'm curious what Sonic P-06 is going to do to his reputation, as from what I've heard Silver's team has the best gameplay in that remake.

The combat function of Blue Tornado
and Cyloop
is the same: Encircle an enemy to break their guard and cause an updraft that can knock certain things into the air. There's also other context-sensitive abilities for each of them. The difference is that the Blue Tornado is strictly a tornado with a set circular range, while the Cyloop has more freedom in what it encircles, but is generally slower to execute. Also, it has some of Knuckles' digging power.
