Hey gang, we got some scoop.
Turns out, Charmy and Cream were planned for the Murder game
, but Katie and the crew dropped them due to being too young.
“We decided they were both too young to dabble in the workings of murder,” Chrzanowski says. “I’m happy with the cast we ended up with, and it was just enough to give each their spotlight without overstaying their welcome or dragging the story on too long.”
I wouldn't mind if at least that was stated in-game, but whatev. Somehow I doubt either could have stayed in-character during the whole roleplay.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.Knuckles training Wade? Yeah, that sounds right. I know everyone's disappointed but I'm honestly not surprised. The filmmakers have banked on the human cast to bring in audiences for two films now. Why would that change with Knux's spinoff?
Y'all didn't seriously think they were going to give us a whole-ass series as just, like, this deep-dive into echidna history without any of the humans wandering around in the middle of it, did you?
Paramount put the humans here for a reason. They have zero confidence in the Sonic cast's ability to drive a film by themselves, and that has not changed. It sucks, but it's what it is. That is how the people who make these movies view the material they're working with.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub. It's most likely a budget thing, so best not to throw an "I was right" parade in here. And don't even think of saying that this is an indication that Sonic 3 will be more focused on humans too when there's Shadow.
"Cynicism is not realistic and tough. It's unrealistic and kind of cowardly because it means you don't have to try."Maddie is in the show, per the link I shared last page.
I just now noticed that Omega wasn't at the birthday party, and while he or Gemerl would have comedic potential, they might be a bit too out of place for such a thing. The more limited cast is a bit of a good call. Even including Blaze might have been a bit of a stretch, but it's nice to give her more people to work off of, and her interacting with Rouge was a welcome surprise.

I'm gonna see how this goes.
Maybe it'll be fun.
Like, have Tom and Maddie even been that bad?
I'm not saying Wade is a great choice, and it's entirely possible it will bomb, but lets save our frothing rage for when that actually happens instead of getting so riled up beforehand.
Not so much give it a chance so much as don't stab it while it's still in the crib.
One Strip! One Strip!Seriously though, I just can't take this whole "Cream and Charmy can't do X cause they're children" when fucking Tails is right there, and always guaranteed to show up in anything. Yeah, he's highly mature and intelligent for his age, but he's still an eight-year-old boy. No establishment in their right mind would allow Tails to participate in anything age restricted no matter his credentials. And this is completely overlooking how Cream herself is very mature for a six-year-old, being naive at worst, and Charmy has a full-time job as a freaking detective. But naw, let's keep those two out of this teen/adult stuff while giving a free pass to the boy just two years older than them. *Rolls eyes*
Though honestly, I'd have been perfectly fine with Cream and Charmy's absence (even if I'd rather Cream make a fucking appearance in the rare chances she gets) if their absences were at least acknowledged. Like, simply have Amy casually say "I wish Cream could be with us, but she didn't like the idea of a murder mystery." And likewise, Vector and/or Espio could've mentioned that they dropped Charmy off with Vanilla and Cream because they knew he was going to spoil the game. Anything is better than being absent for seemingly no reason.
Maybe Tails is allowed due to both a meta reason and an In-universe reason:
1. Tails is a core member of the cast, meaning the Grandfather Clause is in full effect here.
2. Tails, compared with Cream and Charmy, is "technically" an adult due to living alone and having what seems to be a stable job, meaning people just roll with it. Cream and Charmy are children who have legal guardians in the case of Vanilla and Vector and Espio. Maybe Don and Nite are taking care of the latter during the trip, I don't know.

To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.I was always curious about why Cream and Charmy are excluded from the more serious plot lines, while Tails is still there. I mean, weren't Cream and Charmy in Sonic Heroes, fighting against Metal Sonic (well, they technically didn't defeat Metal Sonic, but they were still there in the battle).
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!
Tails is among the "oldest" of the cast. Second only to Sonic himself and Baldy McNosehair. this is because he debuted in Sonic 2.
In comparison, Cream first appeared in Advance 2 and Charmy's first appearance in Heroes (KC being Canon Discontinuity).

Definitely.
I just wanted to talk about Fleetway Sonic lore for a bit.
