IDW Tails and current Game Tails were written by the same person with the same intent both times, to rerail and better define Tails' character post-Forces. They're pretty much intended to be similar if not the same. So Game Tails would get along with pretty much anyone IDW Tails would, and we see Tails get along well especially with Tangle, Belle, the Scapniks, and want to get along with Kit. I haven't seen him interact enough to develop a rapport yet with Whisper, Jewel, or Lanolin yet. Pretty much everyone other major character from IDW not including the above are villains.
Hell, if you told me Belle lives at Tails' place instead of the village she was made, I'd believe you.

I feel like if there's one character who won't show up in the games, it'd be Belle, unfortunately.
The way I see it, Sage and Belle would want to get along, but they're basically like cousins from the two sides of the family that don't get along, so they can't get close. And I'd have to imagine Belle would feel jealous of Sage, given... their whole deal.
Well, to lighten the mood at least slightly, while still on the subject of jealousy, I gotta laugh at Rough and Tumble's interactions with Sonic and friends. Half the time Sonic and friends are copying their Mad Libs Catchphrase, and half the time Tumble's getting angrily jealous at being bailed out of situations by characters (Tails and Tangle) with more tails than they "need", while he just has a stub.
Speaking of Rough and Tumble from IDW, I find it somewhat Hilarious in Hindsight that Tumble calls the Chaotix' meter trash when Vector was doing an improv rhyme against them in issue 48.
Come The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog, we find out that it's Espio who probably should be the target of that insult, considering his poems.
After The Murder of Sonic The Hedgehog, I realize something that was bugging me about those DND classes a while back.
If anyone in the Sonic cast is a Barbarian, it ain't Knuckles. It's totally friggin' Amy "levels an entire train in a tide of rage" Rose.

I was pleasantly surprised that the whodunit had a genuine answer. I was expecting a "Butler Did It" fakeout and had my money on the conductor from the start, but no. They played fair with the mystery.
There is a Butler Did It trick with the train itself, but that doesn't detract from the fact that a) Espio is the culprit to the crime presented and b) that's something you can figure out for yourself.

"Oh, yeah. I was reading the whole time. Where nobody could actually see me, though." A fun detail I saw pointed out later on is that Tails catches onto Espio's flimsy story immediately, but Barry ends up making up an alibi for him rather than Espio himself.

What got me about it was the nook he was in. Like. He's surrounded on both sides by bookshelves, so it makes sense Shadow would be able to march right past without spotting him. I can believe that. It's the part where the tall bookshelves stopped him from spotting Shadow that left me going, "Wait. What?"
Like. The bookshelves blocked Shadow's peripheral vision. If he'd stopped between and turned his head, he'd see Espio, but because he was just strolling through, Espio may have been invisible. But Shadow still passed in front of the spot Espio was in. Espio should rightly have been able to see him walk by. That excuse doesn't fly.

Amy wouldn't be a barbarian, there's more to her character than that. The most unrestrained destructive character is Omega, and I'd mentioned such a class would likely be more fitting for him. Omega's dialogue throughout the Metal Virus arc was a treat.

Man, if this is what they throw together for lulz and then give away as a prank, imagine what a serious VN with a lot of effort put into it would look like.
I sincerely hope they're testing the waters here. Because the waters have been tested whether they meant to or not, and the results are good.
