There have been what-if themed arts posted every month featuring two characters in unusual scenarios. They've put out polls for fans to vote which character will show up in the art with another.
January was Shadow with a choice of Infinite or Cream with the former winning.
February was Amy with either Metal Sonic or Blaze, the latter one.
And March features Tikal with Chaos
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I just wanted to see Merlina again, and I was wondering if she won, Silver would be replaced by Galahad. I was rather curious to see this multiplayer character more than seeing regular Silver and/or Elise.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.So I went back to do some exploring on the last island in Frontiers. The game straight up puts an invisible wall around that swamp at the north of the largest island, and the mysterious voice tells you to turn back. However, the invisible barrier only covers the swamp, and you can go all the way around it. There's plenty of collectibles and open zone platforming, and even one of those large square platforms that was probably intended to be one of those maze challenges. The northern rim of that area seems to have everything except enemies and overworld memory tokens. I wonder if the swamp itself was at one point intended to hold another GUARDIAN or boss battle.
x4 You wanna talk neck and neck? The poll between Infinite and Cream for Shadow ended with a 50.1% for Infinite and 49.9% for Cream. It's a literal 0.01% difference that could've easily been an even split! https://twitter.com/SonicOfficialJP/status/1599633365032132608?s=20

Oh right. I just remember the final map trigger isn't actually over there. It's just weird how each island seems to do their boss arena differently. Kronos' is out of bounds from the regular map, but the TITAN is clearly visible from certain high spots. Ares' isn't actually reachable (easily) but is surrounded by island challenges and isn't made to look hidden. Both Kronos and Ares' Titans are visible waiting for you long before their fights. Chaos' is in what at first looks like one of the many bottomless pits, but the only one that's in the middle of an island. And then there's Ouranos', which is just... "don't go over here."

True! I too am not bitter about a Shadow and Cream interaction.
These Twitter art stories aren't canon enough, so clearly any self respecting fan shouldn't even be enjoying them. (and before anyone throws any shade, that was sarcasm.)

Certified, self-appointed Sonic VisionaryOne thing that I have noticed is that the Ancients in Sonic Frontiers are similar to the Drakons from Sonic The Comic.
- Both are aliens from another planet, an unnamed planet for the Ancients and planet Drax for the Drakons
- They both are responsible for the Chaos Emeralds, the Ancients brought the Chaos Emeralds from their planet, the Drakons invented Chaos energy then they put it into seven emeralds that they had stolen from the Echidna Emerald mines, creating the seven Chaos Emeralds.
- They both had a member of their race mutated into the being called Chaos, a Chaos Chao who is a descendant of the Ancients and a Drakon Prosecutor.
- They both had very advanced technology that could access dimensions the Mobius Rings for the Drakons and Cyberspace for the Ancients.
- They both created giant guardian machines the Ancients created the Titan robots, the Drakons created the Stone Master Sentinel machines.
- They both had abandon Island bases, the Drakons had Flickies' Island, the Ancients had Starfall Islands.
The main differences is the fact that Ancients were made of water whereas the Drakons were a race of Fish that lived in water, but both could go on land the Drakons using mobile suits and unlike the Ancients the Drakons are not extinct in the present day.

Genetic mutation or expression. It doesn't have to have a point, it could just be a reflection of people being unique. Maybe they wanted to give him a unique trait while still keeping him a white man with short hair.
