The way I see it, Amy being an Action Girl would make her Team Sonic’s Bat Man equivilant (the one without powers in the midst of super powered freaks).
Meaning her charging head long into the front lines makes her way more courageous than she’s given credit for. It is said that it takes more courage to charge in despite having the most to lose or the highest odds of things going south (true for non powered characters).
I still think a Mega Man Zero style game (yes that includes the trademark Nintendo Hard difficulty) would work really well for an Amy spinoff.
Much like suggested earlier by someone a Yakuza style game for the Chaotix. Only make the game an Affectionate Parody of the Yakuza series and detective stories making the silly elements of Yakuza the main plot.
All completely Played for Laughs.
@ Redhunter: While that's a pretty obvious fourth-wall break, I think Infinite saying that "Sonic has been beating you for decades" could in-universe be him being a snarky little shit lampshading many times Sonic beat him. And in fairness, the closest W outside of that carpet I remember Eggman getting was when he jettisoned Sonic into space. The only reason Eggman lost was because a) Sonic took a chance and used a fake Chaos Emerald and b) his grandpa had set protocols into the ARK that would doom whoever used it. Neither of which he knew so I don't count as much of a failure on his part
His plan was to split the planet to take over it tho. Sonic getting jetissoned into space (after luring him with the Chaos Emeralds in tow to begin with) was part of the plan.
Eggman won in the intro of Unleashed. Sonic just managed to survive reentry, become pals with an amnesic god, and undo the shit Eggman engaged into.
Also Eggman across Unleashed clashes in character with his intro self. He won, then proceeds to bumble his way all across the game until the Egg Dragoon, then gets shoved aside.
Oh right, yeah. Unleashed boldfaced plays the exact same "lol eggman gets screwed over by the final boss" thing that we got tired of and the intro promised wouldn't be a thing. Considering we got tired of how the rest of the series did that, how Unleashed got away with it I don't know.
Are explosions science?I also really hate how after that intro cinematic the game then acts like Eggman jettisoning Sonic out into space was a poor decision, when he really had no other choice than to fight a Sonic whom he would have no information on - and when the only reason Sonic survived was due to a demigod who seemingly wasn't even mentioned on the Gaia Manuscripts.
Shooting Sonic into space wasn't the poor decision...it was the fact that he lost the Chaos Emeralds by doing that.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Again, what's his alternative? Sonic has the Chaos Emeralds, his plan involved tricking Super Sonic into delivering the Chaos Emeralds to him, and after his plan worked they're drained and out of power and an angry, bestial looking Sonic staring right at him.
Literally the only reason his decision backfired is because of Chip, a factor he could not have known about as it was not in the Gaia Manuscripts.
Sonic already having the Chaos Emeralds made it easier to restore them...
Chip activating the pedestals in those temples was of lesser importance and wouldn't have hindered Eggman's plan on its own.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Ok, yeah, remember when I said I was somewhat not looking forward to the video because of Chip's Japanese voice? Yeah, when Chip told Sonic he remembers everything at the end of the cutscene with the 2nd to last temple I was trying my best to hold back a laugh. Thanks for ruining the moment with that high pitched voice. It's almost as jarring as Sage's flashbacks in that one scene in Frontiers.
No rain could douse the flames that burn within me!Sonic Frontiers: I saw the ending on hard mode. What happens when you get to the end on the easier difficulties? When does it "Cut out"? Also, if the Ancients were aliens, and they had the Chaos Emeralds on their home-world, and then they came to Earth, does that mean the Chaos Emeralds are from space, even though the Master Emerald is on Earth?

As far as Blaze or any other female character becoming prominent in the Classic era, I think it could have been pulled off if the relevant creative parties were interested. Many fans generally embraced Sally and Bunnie Rabbot in Sat AM/Archie and Dixie Kong was instantly accepted by DKC fans as a worthwhile character. At least in the West, if there had been a female character with good gameplay and decent design like Blaze, I don't think there would have been that much resistance to it.
