Right. I know we moved on, but When I said that things would be different if Blaze were created first
, I should have clarified that I meant if she was created before Amy, but with the same standard for when she was create now: as an equal to Sonic.
She's even got her own set of Emeralds. If Blaze had existed first, she could be the Action Girl alongside Sonic as a Politically Active Princess/Royal who actually does something while Amy could have stuck to her original normal girl niche.
But that's just me. I don't mind Amy as an Action Girl, but I kinda get it: it's not what she was originally meant to be, and I think we're at a point where a female character doesn't have to be an ass kicker to be considered a good character (or we're at least at the point where some people realize that).

What you meant was obvious, I was just messing around because the idea of Blaze replacing Sonic is funny. Seriously speaking, it's hard to imagine Blaze existing before Amy. Compared to Amy just being a normal girl with a crush on Sonic to act as "his Minnie", Blaze being an equivalent hero to Sonic from an alternate universe with her own background lore is something more complicated that more naturally comes about later in the series' life, as she actually did.
Forces: I didn't mean that doing that doing that would fix Forces' plot. Just that it would fix part of the plot and stop the jokes at Tails' expense from spreading as they did. The fully fix the plot, at the least everything around Infinite would need to be rewritten. It would also help if Sonic's lines were all rewritten, something about him comes off as overly chipper the whole time that it feels like he's not fully there mentally.
Infinite would be better if Classic Sonic wasn't there.
I think it was pretty obvious...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. That's just a severe flanderization of his Japanese personality with the snark of the Western side. They did dialed it down for TSR and Frontiers, tho.

To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.@ randomness: I was thinking it would give more room for the Avatar/Buddy/whatever your canon name is. Even without that Infinite comes off as some that was trying to be such an edgelord they come as disturbing and intimidating, but just overshot their mark and fell into being corny
This isn't me DILPing Infinite but I wish they had mentions that he used to have a crew and did value friendship at one time. If The Power of Friendship is supposed to be whole moral I think it'd be more fitting if rather than always being a Hate Sink, Infinite used to be a better person but rejected it for power and to be stronger. Have him be the type of bully who was bullied only to become a worse bully in return, and make him a good example of Freudian Excuse Is No Excuse. He'd still be a Hate Sink but of the Lotso type where he has some depth to why he's punchable. It'd also serve as a nice contrast to the Avatar since he suffered worse but still values friendship. But no, he was always the same rotten person and all Eggman did was just let him act on his worst impulses
Its kind of hard to talk about how Forces can be improved. Game feels like they never made it past the rough draft. There are so many underbaked ideas in it.
@Amy & Blaze: The idea that there would be a female equivalent to the hero was very unlikely to happen in the 90's, so Blaze would not have existed as she currently does, especially given how simple the series was back then.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.By the way, wasn't it mentioned earlier in the thread that characters no longer have ages listed?
One Strip! One Strip!Who the heck knows. They probably don’t want to touch official ages any more, especially now that Classic being the younger versions of Modern is canon again. I can buy them not really wanting to answer the “ok, so how old are the classic versions / over how many years is the series taken place / etc” questions.
The closest to an age hint we’ve gotten recently is Frontiers stating that Tails has been adventuring with Sonic for “over half his life,” so if Tails is still eight that would make Classic Tails maybe four or so? But that’s still assuming Tails is still supposed to be eight and there hasn’t been an Age Lift or anything.

If Classic Tails is 4...
Yet another win for the Western Sonic Canon, but only one of them.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Ooh, my timeline has actually handled all of this!
Sonic 1 is out starting point, 0 years.
So Little Planet adds an extra year for every reappearance (which includes Mania Mode, Encore Mode, and Sonic 4), 3 years.
I assumed an extra year before SA 1 since the manual said Sonic was gone for a while and the Long Time No See train started here, 3-4 years.
Shadow in 06 took an agent test "years ago", 5-6+ years. Eggman was also planning Meteo Tech for "years", but since that time already includes Sonic Riders which is only "a few months" ago so it doesn't mean anything.
Sonic had a birthday in Sonic Unleashed, going by the japanese Sonic Pict series, 6-7+ years.
Sonic Colours, where Eggman was pretending to have reformed while building Eggman's Interstellar Amusement Park:tm:, over the course of years, 8-9++ years.
Sonic had a birthday in Sonic Generations, 9-10++ years.
Sonic had a birthday in Sonic Runners, 10-11++ years.
Sonic Forces had three different timeskips from the earliest moment in the timeline (Shadow beating up pre-Infinite) to the latest (the main game's story) that was 6 months, 2 months, and "a few months", reaching to 10+ months, rounded to 11-12++ years.
Minor Prime spoilers: Rouge was looking for the Paradox Prism for years, and it's implied Eggman was too, 13-14+++ years.
EDIT: fixed a typo right at the tail end lol.
While I'm at it, the + symbol refers to any time where the amount of years that passed is ambiguous.
