Not sure; I signed up before the game released so I have no idea how long it would take for a post-release sign-up to be processed.
Anyway, have a Live and Learn cover:
I signed up for the thing last sunday. You'd think it'd be here by now. I didn't think getting such a code was so...difficult.
EDIT: Just now got my code after emailing Support about it. They have a support form on their site that oughta help. Also provide email proof you signed up for the newsletter just incase.

Are explosions science? Finally beat Frontiers. Did I miss something or did this game just casually confirm that Sticks exists outside of the Boom universe? If so, I love that. Besides that, I found the ending to be kinda anticlimactic. Not only is the Supreme fight super easy, but the "fight" with The End is literally just a three-button-press QTE and then Sage just throws herself at it and then it's over. I don't know what I was expecting, but it was more than that.
Anyway, I thought the game overall was okay. Unexpectedly, my favorite part ended up being just running around the areas. I also did and didn't enjoy the combat more than I expected. Like, it's kinda fun doing a bunch of combos, but fighting a horde of enemies — and the Guardians or whatever they're called especially — when you wanna just get a move on is a pain in the ass.
Then there's the Cyber Space levels which are kind of a mixed bag. Some of them can be fun... once you get the rhythm down. Others are just not a good time, like the one where you have to drift every 5 seconds.
All in all, a decent "play when listening to albums" game.
i'm tired, my friend
Probably done that way to not lock the ending behind a completely different gameplay skillset.
The sad thing is, that used to be a lot more common. I remember playing Spider-Man vs. the Kingpin (the Genesis version) and getting through I think the second level, which was the sewer, on an easy difficulty. The game then tells you you suck and you need to play at a higher difficulty. So I played on normal, and got further, but then then the game dos the exact same thing. You can only actually complete the game on the highest difficulty setting. I know I've come across other instances of this exact thing, but I can't recall where exactly.

> Using a continue causes the in-game clock to fast-forward two hours, giving you less time to get all the keys needed to disarm the bomb. If you lose all of your health and continuing would put you over the 24 in-game hour time limit, you get an instant Game Over.
Jesus that sounds unfun even for a licenced game
have a listen and have a link to my discord serverI'm told the Sega CD version is better in a lot of respects. But, since we're talking about Spidey Vs Kingpin anyway: The plot of the game is, Wilson Fisk AKA the Kingpin, has acquired a nuke. He then activates it so it will detonate in 24 hours. Next, he gets on the TV and says Spider-man stole the nuke and set it to explode in 24 hours, thus turning the entire city against the web-head. Spidey has to go around and collect a bunch of keys to disarm the bomb. What's my point? Fisk is the crime boss that rules over all of New York. He's effectively blowing up his own city. Moreover, in the final level you find Fisk guarding the bomb, AKA standing at ground zero.

And if you lose, you get to watch Spider-Man and Mary Jane getting killed by getting dunked in a pit of acid onscreen.
EDIT: That's either Easy-Mode Mockery, No Final Boss for You, or Hard Mode Perks.

The Protomen enhanced my life.Yeah, bosses or endings locked behind difficulty levels isn’t too uncommon. This game’s problem is less doing it and more not making it clear that that’s what’s going to happen, nor letting you just change the settings to alleviate it.
I think this is the first time I’ve ever seen it in a platformer, tho. Granted, difficulty levels in platformers are rare in the first place.
Platformers were the dominant genre, that's the type of thing that would've happened in platformers the most.
I'm pretty sure.
Maybe beat em ups.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. It seems more common in 2D platformers, going by the Easy-Mode Mockery page. Sonic has a few examples on there from rereleases.
EDIT: TIL Ian Flynn stated that when Sage was resurrected by Eggman, only a portion of her was resurrected.

The Protomen enhanced my life. Are there any Gadgeteers or unique named Kitsunes in mythology or the public domain?
Just asking cause it relates to the Tails actually met his Shadow (jungian) when he was in cyberspace
theory.
Cause if there are, there’s the funny thought that if Tails ever gets into a metaverse…he would have a Persona.
Note: in Persona 5, the voices talking to the party members during their awakenings are their Shadows trying to help them via mean Warrior Therapist.
Here's one. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tamamo-no-Mae
Tamamo-no-Mae is the most famous named fox youkai. As the Wikipedia article describes, she was an evil fox that turned into a beautiful woman and seduced the emperor of Japan, but was discovered and slain, then turned to stone.
The second most famous is Kuzunoha
, who was said to be the mother of the historical and legendary onmyouji Abe no Seimei and a reason for his great magic power. She was rescued from a hunter by Seimei's father, and then later transformed into a beautiful woman to help him and married him.
Those are the only really famous mythical fox youkai with names, though most fox youkai in old stories pretty much fit these molds. They're either evil foxes that turn into beautiful women to bewitch men, or good foxes that turn into beautiful women to marry human men.
Well the Emperor back then was an active presence in people's lives, so stories featuring him would be more prevalent wouldn't they?
Also fuck, I just got back into Frontiers, and I remembered why I took a break, I'm on the last emerald, but there are so many Sage Tokens to get.
Doesn't help this island looks so boring and too much like the first one.
Got like 38 left to get.

"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"

4 or 5 days and still no SA 2 shoes code. Should I try to contact Sega support about this?
