He also wasn’t portrayed that sympathetically during his breakdown outside of some pity for How the Mighty Have Fallen.
Yadda yadda Sonic turns super and tries to fight Galactus. Yadda yadda Galactus takes Sonic initial attack, but then turns out to be unharmed. Yadd yadda Sonic tries to actually talk to Galactus. Etc and so on Sonic convinces him to eat Black Doom another planet instead.

I guess Sonic Prime drops toady. Here's our thread for it.
I heard we got 8 episodes. I haven't watched it, but I just want to know if there is going to be any more after episode eight, or if this is a single self-contained eight episode series.

I started it and it's actually good, wow Sonic fans feasting lately.
Also the VA for Sonic does a great job, better than his Frontiers VA tbh. Knuckles though ehhhh he sounds really off in the regular universe but the AU versions sound better for some reason. Everyone else is pretty good, though getting used to Big sounding normal is a bit jarring lol.

Musical theory isn't a lot of people's strong suit, but maybe...Sonic's voice has a bit of a melodic quality and he sounds more sarcastic than he should.
Depressing. 1 word summary.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Video games tend to have an inherent tonal problem when the narrative they try to sell doesn't line up with the gameplay.
To bring it back around to Sonic...well you should probably know where this is going; The exaggerated cartoon designs of Sonic characters clashes heavily the realistic environment and somber tone the game is going for.
So ya know...the usual lol.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. His take is stupid because he can't seem to wrap his head around the fact that Sonic's edginess is meant to appeal to children, not adult fans. It's adults like Yahtzee that keep bitching that Sonic needs to be even more "light-hearted" than even the original Genesis games were because Sonic characters doing kids anime storylines is too childish and cringe for their mature sensibilities.
Honestly, I can see his point. Because think about it, which group have been the loudest in complaining about Sonic not being "edgy" enough for the last decade? It sure as hell wasn't the children.
So...I can see Both Sides Have a Point here. I've never had a problem with Sonic's perceived edginess in his games, but I also grew up with it to get used to it and never really considered how someone who didn't grow up with those games would feel.
What do Sonic games look like narrative wise when you leave the scope of the fandom?

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. It's the Sonic Cycle: the audience cannot decide if they want Sonic to be lighthearted or serious. Ever since the 90's between AOSTH and Sat AM.
Adults bitch about the cartoon hedgehog taking itself seriously; the younger demographic complain the rodent is lame.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.
