By the way, Windii translated the Japanese in-game dialogue of Frontiers. This includes the final boss dialogue, which is...different. Way different.
I am the orchestrator and arbiter of order in the universe.
My light is judgment. I melt all things and return them to the primordial dust.
Nothing can escape the infinite light. Answer me, little life.
Only through My discipline and judgment can life everywhere find peace. Many lives are now at peace under my guidance.
Is it thy bloated ego that makes thee choose that path?
Is it the aspiration of life to find the meaning of existence?
The stronger the aspiration that life embraces, the more thousands of tribulations will descend upon it.
Behold the many lives that flee and try to escape in the face of the hardships before them.
Life, except for Me, is an entity that cannot overcome its own fragile mind.
Life is oblivious to the ignorance that makes it believe only it does not make mistakes.
There is no such thing as an absolute constant in the universe.
Only a future of stupor awaits us in the face of irrationality and absurdity.
When judgment comes, reality will be revealed. What did you crave, what did you discern, what did you question, what did you ponder, what did you accomplish?
I hereby seal this planet forever.
My attunement is the ruling of fate on everything that exists in this universe.
Since time immemorial, it has been ordained that aspiring life forms will come to this end, and that there is no way to challenge thine foolishness. Hear, I say, the chirps of darkness that lurk in thine heartbeats.
Life is to stagnate and enter its twilight. But thou wilt go on? It is a choice that is hard to understand.
Stop the nonsense now. This is the last warning.
Indeed. This was decided from ordination.
It has been repeated time and time again.
I see. Is the meaning of thy existence in this universe?
Canst thou devote thy being to that aspiration which guides life?
Something is about to happen. Something that transcends law and time. Is this the beginning of evolution?
I see. So that is what the universe is, what life is.
In the English version, The End is a malevolent deity, proud of its might and considering itself the all-consuming-void. The Japanese version, however, is more direct in seeing itself as the personification of death, and seeing its actions as judgment for true peace - almost in a similar role to Galactus.
It is interesting, to say the elast.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.Kishimoto states that he rewrote the game for a Japanese audience. However, the Japanese fandom has been critical of the translation because it feels google translated. What I could see, Kishimoto wrote the game to be more overt, with the themes spoon fed to the player.
I see this is reflected in the final boss. Flynn wrote the character, with its otherwordly presence, as more of a character, but Kishimoto went ahead and made him more of a force of nature.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.Wow. I mean, I expected the monologue to be different but... Wow. Also, after hearing of it I looked for a video and, sure enough, there is one. Though special mention to Sonic's dialogue before the true final boss.
I've seen it all in Cyberspace. You must have noticed it by now too. I will break the chains of fate! Help me! Let's end this together!

No rain could douse the flames that burn within me!@69930 That's a VERY different characterization! It even seems to be a Graceful Loser at the end as it understands what hope and life mean.
That version also seems way more final on its death.
I added that info to its character sheet under Dub Personality Change.

The Protomen enhanced my life.Black Knight's controls scheme is nothing like Secret Ring's. In Secret Rings you hold the Wii remote sideways and things are mostly done by motion controls except for the jump and brake buttons. Black Knight uses the Wii remote + nunchuk setup and does most things with buttons, including moving with the analog stick, and motion controls are just used for swinging your sword.
The Christmas with Sonic series is adorable
.
Also, Black Doom contacted Ian
again to gush about Eclipse and Shadow having a family.
Reading this made me imagine that if Archie Sonic (Specifically before the Super Genesis Wave) met IDW Sonic, I don’t think they’d get along due to the latter’s belief in giving villains a chance given how monstrous the former’s Robuttniks are. Hell I think given Archie Sonic’s world is the prime zone, I imagine he’d be glad to do what his IDW counterpart wouldn’t do and try kill IDW Eggman.
