Having seen all the Islands, I'm bummed we didn't get more Sonic esque open world environments.
Like give me Casino Night Zone 3D anyday.
Maybe the sequel can fix this. All the Islands feel more generic than expected. They aren't bad to be sure, and there's still fun to be had with exploring and the platforming but needs more Sonic fingerprints if that makes sense.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"Known Unknown Succeeded!
Spent the last hour or so blowing through desert island. I think I've got about two thirds of it done, minus Knuckles' quest.
I think part of the reason I was so annoyed by the soft lock wasn't just the lock itself (but that was a huge part of it - having to repeat large hurdles of my time is a big gaming peeve of mine), but also because the first Titan was such an underwhelming boss fight and I wasn't looking forward to going through all that just to do it again.
Luckily Homing Shot makes it go by twice as fast. I hope Titan #2 is a mite more interesting.

What was The End's final speech like in the Japanese version?

The Protomen enhanced my life.If anything, I’ve gotten my hopes up for solo titles. Against my better judgement, I know.
My musician pageFinally, a new Knuckles game.
But seriously, I haven't gotten to that part and some of my discord buddies brought up that scene. I do think this is a plot point to have some spin-off titles and stories.
We already got a Knuckles cartoon prologue for this game.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"Yeah the control and physics of this game feel janky. It's not outright bad, but it can be frustrating at times, especially in Cyberspace.
Sonic Team has def problems with how to implement Sonic's physics.
I'm still baffled at how bad Classic Sonic is in Forces when Mania has such perfect control and physics.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"I hope the "wasted potential" talks of Infinite end with this Game.
This Game has the most disrespects towards the character and I love it.
Sage stole his gimmick; she is Miles better than him.
The Knight stole his theme song, making him no longer special.
Even The End throws a minor shade by calling him "finite".
Fucking Zavok is more aknowledged in the Game than him. Infinite is mentioned once by Tails, yet Zavok is twice and has a minor flashback.
I love Frontiers for all the wrong reasons.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.Yeah. If you're talking about the physics of how the character moves and operates, the difference in 2D and 3D isn't particularly huge. The Engines the games were made on likely had distinct differences, but that's not strictly related to them being 2D vs 3D.
Plus, we already had decent Classic Sonic 3D physics in Generations.
Half-decent...
They're only better than Sonic Forces and Sonic 4, the problem remains the same for all of them.
Sonic Forces main issue though was the control not the physics.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I feel like the point is that if Mania can have proper 2D physics, why can't the 3D games?
It has nothing to do with whether its 2D or 3D, but what the engine is designed for; and in case it wasn't obvious by the last couple of games, Sonic Team doesn't seem very interested (or are just incapable) in replicating Classic physics...or just proper physics in general.

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Yeah, basically this.
There's no reason why physics akin to Mania can't be used in 3D games. Those two styles of modelling/animation aren't so alien to one another that such things are insurmountably difficult. Indeed, a lot of 3D games from classic franchises have had a lot of success giving their games classic 2D style levels.
I hate to say it like this, but if Mario can do it there's no reason Sonic can't. It's not the engine or the medium's fault, it's a development problem.
To risk being a bit more accusatory, it may well just be that the Mania devs entire intention was to replicate the Classic gameplay well, while the Forces devs' intention might more have been to throw Classic Sonic into the game to spice it up. Mania's development lived and died on how well they replicated those physics, while Forces' development didn't really have to worry about it.
