Learning the origins of the Emeralds would be, well, they've been a thing since Sonic 1, and the Master Emerald has been a thing since Sonic 3.
Sage may be treating Sonic and Knuckles differently because one is an Echidna, and her origin is tied to that of the emeralds.
I can't decide if I prefer the Sonic 3 Final Boss theme, or the Doomsday Zone theme. Probably the Sonic 3 final boss theme, but I definitely had to think about it.

Ah, you saw the Rivals video too, Yakuzu.
May as well share it.
TL;DR: The story of rivals sucks, Pariah imagines the original draft didn't have Eggman Nega on it but instead was an original character, but for whatever reason they put Nega in it. Pariah trashes Silver's character, and finds disrespectful of Sonic Team to rewrite two characters to fit whatever nonsense they want to write.
A funny observation is that Pariah does a quick commentary on Knuckles "Not using the Master Emerald power" (Tailstube) saying it contradicts Rivals...but later reminds himself Sonic Team doesn't care about continuity/consistency. That was fun.
Yeah, Sonic arriving to a mysterious island related to the Chaos Emeralds is basically the plot of Origins sans CD.

Actually no, I've known this for months.
The Knuckles short just really illustrated since everyone is saying "ZOMG ADVENTURE ERA" and it made me laugh.
Its almost like this arbitrary divide fans make is fucking stupid and doesn't actually exist.
No that can't he true.

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Watching that video makes me wonder:
Has it ever been explained if the Echidna tribes Knuckles were gloves, or actually on their fists?
Cause with Tikal seemingly having normal hands, it's kinda confusing. And she's the only other Echidna in the game canon too.
One Strip! One Strip!I remember looking through Sonic Adventure 1 specifically for the fist thing. It seem only males have the spiky fist thing, cuz Pachacamac has them and so do random echidnas. Couldn't tell you if they had naturally spiky fists or if they were wearing special gloves, but why call themselves the Knuckles clan if they don't have spiky knuckles? Now, in the Archie comics, Knuckles' dad did have gloves with "prosthetic spikes," and at one point he removes them to show that he has non-spiky hands, and that the only reason Knuckles has them is due to genetic engineering.
Related, in the Archie comics, every member of the Guardian line has that white crescent ring shape that Knuckles has. It is a birthmark and is seen as a mark of their station.

It's a weird one to me. But mainly cause of the way the clan is. Is it Knuckles' clan(meaning the clan he's from), or is the name of the clan actually called Knuckles? If the former, then any member could have spikes on their hands, but not necessarily all. But in the latter's case, they're literally a clan of Knuckle warriors, and the spikes are a pretty defining feature. The game doesn't bother to really go much into it either way. I don't remember if its named in-game, or if basically tvtropes' article was using different grammar than intended. Either way, they are weird designs, being pretty much a copy of Knuckles in every way bar tribal markings. It'd be nice if they fleshed it out more in the games.
Either way, I've imagined them as something of a racial feature they have, akin to how birds have different kinds of beaks depending the species. Not a great example, mind you.
Shadow?I certainly never expected to see a NIGHTS Chao in an official Sonic work again.
Hugging a Vanillite will give you frostbite. That's less impressive.
Seeing any kind of Chao variation that isn't just the baby blue one is amazing.
Seeing it animated is even more amazing.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Alternatively, folders marked spoilers might just be easier at the moment, since yeah, I've forgotten to take "Show Spoilers" off on my own and found some really annoying stuff out way too early. Worst one though was when someone didn't even mark a major spoiler. To say the least, wasn't a very friendly response to that, heh. ...I only hollered, but still.
Shadow?

On Sage not letting Knuckles leave but telling Sonic to go away thing. It may have something to do with Sonic having interacted with the other A.I.. In one of the previews before Sonic meets Sage, he escapes cyberspace and a different A.I. says that is interesting and tasks him with collecting the chaos emeralds.
Now I'm wondering about that one story leak I read.
