Cosmic Wall is one of the best stage tracks in SA 2, alongside City Escape, Pumpkin Hill, and Meteor Herd.
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!I can't recall much of Cosmic Wall's theme, just that that the low gravity meant I was actually really enjoying a mech level, which was a novelty.
As far as Frontiers' song so far? Eh. I've found vocal Sonic themes to be pretty hit and miss in general, so the two revealed so far fall into a similar category as others; fine to listen to, but not something really remembered all that much.

Ranking for stage themes in SA 2?
Speed:
Green Forest > City Escape > White Jungle > Radical Highway > Metal Harbor > Crazy Gadget > Pyramid Cave > Final Rush > Sky Rail > Final Chase (All of them ultimately great, but I think Final Chase is meh)
Shooting:
Eternal Engine > Mission Street > Cosmic Wall > Prison Lane > Lost Colony > Sand Ocean > Hidden Base > Weapons Bed > Iron Gate (Leans more towards weaker from Sand Ocean onward, with Weapons Bed and Iron Gate being kind of forgettable for me)
Treasure Hunting:
Meteor Herd > Mad Space > Security Hall > Pumpkin Hill > Wild Canyon > Dry Lagoon > Death Chamber > Egg Quarters (Last two are pretty forgettable, but Meteor Herd is definitely top 5 overall in the game for me)
A Nd underrated as hell...
Rouge in general is underrated.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Fly In The Freedom (and to a lesser extent the rest of her music) is basically a send-up to Fertile Ground
and I love it for it.
I've always gotten the impression that the musicians Sonic Team works with, and maybe even the developers themselves, all have a wide variety of musical influences and inspirations, which is why the music in Sonic games tends to be so good. They know things to call on for any theme or situation: they want something to be uptempo, or groovy, or smooth, or epic, they know where to look.
Like how you can tell that someone at Nintendo really likes ragtime and early jazz / dixieland / etc.

If we’re talking vocal themes, my top 5 would be in no order:
Unknown from ME (SA 1), Vandalize (Frontiers), Knight of the Wind (Black Knight), Un-Gravitify (Zero Gravity) and Dreams of An Absolution (‘06)
And to round out the top 10: Team Chaotix (Heroes), Dear My Friend (Unleashed), Cosmic Eternity - Believe in Yourself (CD), Diamond in the Sky (R), Live and Learn/Open Your Heart as a tie.
And there are several others I love.
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!City Escape is entirely original.
Mission Street just briefly uses like the boss fight area at the end.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.![]()

MOST of the Ark levels are pretty good about Asset reuse- there's only so many ways you can make 'hallway on a space station' interesting, after all, and stage gimmicks manage to make most of those hallways pretty interesting anyway.
I'd say the only time the reuse is egregious in the Ark levels is the outside ones, Final Rush, Final Chase, and Cosmic wall, and you know what? I think even those are fine- In a hypothetical game where Shadow wasn't playable, it would've been Cosmic Wall that capped off the Dark Story, and the primary hero and primary villain of the game would've had mirroring stages; Shadow got his tacked on and reused assets to make his stage even more of a mirror of Sonic's.
RE: "I'm Here":
Finally, I get to hear this one. Yup, this is definitely the song we were hearing in the Japanese commercial.
Awwwwwwwwww yeah, this really takes me back to before Sonic Colors!
Forget slapping, this song is literal fire. (Though I really hope this is just a morsel and there's a longer version coming.)

Hopefully we get a lot of instrumental rock too. I always thought the instrumental tracks were the best ones in the Adventure games (Eggman's music especially. Damn is Cosmic Wall amazing).
