Yea, but like I said, she can travel between said dimensions without issue.
They probably only didn't because Blaze herself has been Out of Focus, so it's something they never considered.

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. Its remarkable how fortunate Blaze has been as far as the extended cast. Her character's never been really mishandled, her most prominent games were fairly liked, the EU materials presented her consistently well, and even in the dumpster fire that was 06, she has arguably the strongest gameplay in it. When the worst one can say is there's mild confusion about whether she's from another dimension or the future, that's pretty good.
That's because Blaze finished her character arc in her first two games, and then she just kind of fell Out of Focus with everyone else. They kneecapped her before she could say, reach the Classic 4 and Shadow's level of popularity. So its a situation where nobody outside of the hardcore Sonic fanbase really knows or cares about her, but those who do love her appreciate her a lot.
But its probably a blessing in disguise lol; because she's not as popular, Sega are less likely to abuse her image for marketing purposes and completely mishandle her character and ruin their public image forever.
So yea, I'm fine with Blaze being on the, pardon the pun, backburner if it means she never has to go through what the popular characters have to endure. Sometimes obscurity is a good thing.

Eh... Oh right, a trailer for Sonic Frontiers was shown in Japanese cinema with the movie.
Prepare to see it in the following days.
Here is what the user heard:
"In Japan, Sonic Frontiers BRAND NEW TRAILER with a vocal songs is played before the movie starts. I think the narrator was Megumi Hayashibara (maybe the voice of Sage?)"
"Sonic thoroughly runs through the island with a somber and emotional narration, and the vocal song (the same track as what we heard in the Direct Trailer) kicks in at the middle of the trailer. I cannot detect the singer, but his performance really HIT me!"
""Why do you keep running?"
"If you don't keep running, you won't reach that 'feeling'"
That's all I remember from the frontier video narration I saw in the theater. I suddenly stopped thinking.
It is a video of Sonic running all the time."
This is gonna be a weeb game, written by an American. This is going to be weird, if interesting.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back. There's also a listing fot DLC on Taiwan Kuji shop.
That looks like the source of the leak I talked about earlier.

Looks like it came sooner than any of us expected, because look what dropped on Twitter.
Color me very intrigued.
EDIT: Now on YouTube!

Yeah, ok.
It literally was just Sonic running, ok.
Nothing new to see here, ok.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Sonic Twitter dropped some sick looking concept art
of...something. A new island we haven't seen already?
Someone scored an HD version
of the recent Japanese commercial for Sonic Frontiers!
And because it wasn't already shared, some folks translated the narration:
You don't stop...Even in front of giant enemies
You don't stop... What drives you to keep running?
Why do you never stop?
And the quote that was right above Sonic?
It read "If you don't keep running... You won't get that feeling."
Man, I really want this to be better than Sonic Forces so bad!
EDIT: Not in HD, but someone smushed subtitles onto the commercial:

Has anyone here watched the laughing riot that's Snap Cube's Shadow The Hedgehog fandub?
"Cynicism is not realistic and tough. It's unrealistic and kind of cowardly because it means you don't have to try."![]()
Uh, you mean Flynn? :/ But now that you mention it, I recall someone on Twitter sharing (what looked like) a 4chan post saying Sonic Frontiers will essentially tackle the themes in Neon Genesis Evangelion and that SAGE would be voiced in Japanese by Megumi Hayashibara, aka Rei Ayanami herself.
It's 4chan, so I'll take "not believable" for $150, Alex.
But that said, a Sonic game doing NGE actually would be something I would want to see. And lucky for us, Sonic's no Shinji Ikari, so it'd be really interesting to see what happens there.
Sonic Frontiers looks like a mix of Shadows of the Colossus, Breath of the Wild, and Ghost of Tsushima at least visually speaking.
What we've gotten so far looks pretty good. A Sonic game
- with an actual plot/mystery
- not about the colorful kooky Koopa Kids
- or an alternate universe full of BOOST PADS
- or about a condescending racing expert one-off character
- and so far with no sign of a goofy incompetent Eggman
- reliance on him being a Saturday Morning Cartoon Villain
- or some kooky new ally of his with god mode enabled
is a rare find.

The presentation thus far is novel, though I'm pretty much withholding any mega hype till there's more of a thorough gameplay exploration. If the Cyberspace levels are enjoyable enough, I think I can forgive any particular flaws in the open world. At the very least that sort of structure to give the game length is a more preferable than another gameplay style or reuse of Classic Sonic.
I'm not exactly hyped due to lack of information but I'm at least interested. Its really difficult for me to get excited though due to this series' track record for wasting potentially good ideas, but this game is at least trying to separate itself from last the ten years of games, and how bored of those games I got (Generations and Mania notwithstanding) I'm not entirely opposed to a change in direction.
I would have much more confidence if Kishimoto wasn't directing again though, but hopefully this is his redemption arc.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.@Targetmaster Joe: "It'll tackle the themes of evangelion" No I don't want Sonic "sinning" over a comatose Rouge thanks
But yeah I'm not sure what to make of Frontiers at this point. Actually has Robotnik even shown up in any of these trailers?
Are explosions science?Ah okay. I was thinking since he hasn't shown up in person yet but hey.
Also I'm pretty sure we'll get people extensively analyzing both the trailer voice and SAGE's voice to get a good idea of if she's voiced by Rei or not but if its her then trailer SAGE being all introspective compared to in-game SAGE just telling Sonic to fuck off is kinda funny.
Are explosions science?

To be honest, her being in another dimension eliminates the need to do that....
But yeah. I'm still surprised they didn't do it anyway either.
