This precious lad who some kind soul is helping to survive the heatwave.
That's the best most hedgehog around.
Hey mr. Mod, I was insulting the character of Infinite, not Iizuka himself. Excuse the misunderstanding.
Anyway, let me repeat it:
Iizuka confirms there is no Chao Garden in Sonic Frontiers.
And that he feels Eggman peaked in Forces, so don't expect him to do so again.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back. The forum isn't for character bashing. That's the simple point being made. Or any kind of bashing, really.
As for the important topic, Chao Gardens are cool, but I'm not surprised at a lack of return. They were also designed to connect with a handheld variation(Dreamcast VMU, Game Boy Advance games) but also were part of the general Adventure-style games with at least 3 completely different playable characters. While the latter doesn't matter that much, the former is a much bigger deal, as that's their core design. The 3DS was pretty much put out to pasture, meaning there's no good way to create it properly again for the Switch. It's not impossible to do with the Gamepad, but it's easily harder to figure out a good way to do so. Probably one they don't want to try their hand in. Since it's literally two games in one, they'd have to rebuild how the Chao work, and their raising capabilities, while having a side mode. Worth noting that these side modes also were often used for 100% completion, to the point of being rather tiresome. While some of the various Emblems were a pain, making sure your Chao are super perfect, which requires reincarnation(which does have some RNG to it) is a lot more difficult than just "git gud".
Returning them outside of that would be nice, though. They were very fun to play with, less fun to actually require them. It was still cute seeing the Karate, etc.

Shadow?Honestly, the real profit might be in a Chao mobile title. From a coldly financial standpoint, it's an easy way to make money via gacha/microstransactions, you could crib from Pokemon Go by encouraging walking to develop Chao, and with some adjustments one could probably tie it into other mobile Sonic games or even a few of the console variations.
Given that Sega threw away a lot of money on a failed Sakura Wars mobile release, Chao Garden on smartphones seems like a much safer bet.
>Sonic Adventure 2 is the best Sonic game.
Feels good to be an SA 2 chad.

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I mean, this is what peak Chao looks like.

Anything beyond that, is grinding for stats, playing the waiting game so you may cross stuff... The Chao garden is at the same time very fun and an overrated chore.
[x4] Sega will never do the obvious. Out of all the baffling decisions made, the fact that they just dropped the Chao is the most perplexing to me.
I was looking at some fanart and I realized Mecha Sonic really does have a dope design. I can understand Sega not using it with the whole Metal vs Mecha messiness plotwise but I wish it made a comeback somehow. Even as an alternate skin for Metal or something.
It is honestly surprising that they didn't try making Chao Garden for mobile devices now that it's been mentioned, it's basically perfect for it.
Hugging a Vanillite will give you frostbite.

Jon from Good Vibes Gaming does a follow-up to his Secret Rings video with a Black Knight video.
He's once again very positive about the game, moreso than Secret Rings.
