Okay, anyone remember when someone shared that video about what it'd be like if Jesse McCartney voiced Silver?
I may have been struck with inspiration and did something similar with Tangle and what if she was voiced by Sarah-Nicole Robles
(Luz Noceda from The Owl House) and Ashly Burch
(from a lot of stuff, but I used audio clips from her role as Molly from The Ghost and Molly McGee).
Keep in mind, this is my first time doing this kind of project, so it might be rough?
Now Pariah goes over Origins' cutscenes. He mentions the awkwardness of Amy seeming like a main character in the cutscenes while she's anything but in the actual games. And I'm gonna say it again. As much crap as I give the Classic games, I would be all for a playable Amy.

OMG right? Like, I thought Ashly Burch was pretty good too, but there's something in Sarah-Nicole Robles' delivery in Luz that just clicks for someone like Tangle, you know?
My only concern would be she might be out of Sega's price range to have her as Tangle.
To be fair, they did spring for Lacey Chabert (Gwen Stacy in The Spectacular Spider-Man and Zatanna in Young Justice) as Princess Elise in 06, but I doubt Sega wants any further reminders of that game.
For Christine, her notable roles are Mako Makanshoku, and Chiaki Nanami
For Xanth, hers are Haru Okumura, and recently Marianne von Edmund

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. So, I found this joke video about how Sonic is kinda a insensitive jerk, especially to human women. (Yes, I'm including Shadow in that category. No, don't ask why.)
And, well, I'm starting to wonder how much of it is exaggerated because, like, I can buy Sonic acting like that in Sonic Adventure Whatever and the fact that Sonic talks about wishing her a mountain of handkerchiefs so she can cry about her dead dickhead boyfriend and handkerchiefs fall from the sky in the cutscene...
I'm seriously wondering how much of this is based on the actual game dialogue and presentation.
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position....none of it? Its a comedic read of Sonic's lines.
Sonic wishing a mountain of handkerchiefs for Shahra because of her dickhead boyfriend being an act of dickery is an odd take.
Sonic's stance on life/final conversation with Merlina in Knight of the Wind is one of the better uses of his character. Instead of being the snarky freedom fighter and nothing else the dude actually has some depth to him. Its why I like the Storybook games - we see Sonic put into emotional spaces his adventures normally don't allow for.
Its pretty much the only time other than Sonic Lost World that Sonic is shown to have anything deeper to his personality beyond some Byronic Hero traits and being too cool for school.

Well yeah that's the context. And out of it I guess its funny. Still, he's giving someone a bunch of handkerchiefs after
all of that.
I'm sure plenty of those handkerchiefs got really dirty wherever they landed so Sonic could have wished for a tissue box instead, or for all of the handkerchiefs to land on a table neatly and organized.
A mountain of handkerchiefs...
So that she can cry forever about her abusive boyfriend.
Sounds nice.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. While we're on the topic of Sonic's characterization, I just want to give a quick shout out to this line right here, which is still to this day my favorite line in the series.
I feel like neither of the Storybook games were bad, necessarily, but the time they came out... it was a bit like offering to buy your neighbor lunch right after you dropped trou and took a shit in the middle of their living room. Of course they weren't going to be well-received, deservedly or not.
