Mania isn't perfect. I'd give it a 7.5-8/10, personally, depending on how I'm feeling. The level design isn't as tight as the Genesis titles, and the later levels feel like the team overindulged a bit. However, the game was a breath of fresh air. It scratched an itch I hadn't had scratched since Rush 2. It was also clearly made by people that loved the series.
It's hard to entertain the idea that a dev team doesn't deserve to succeed or that people that buy the game don't deserve to enjoy it. They put their time into it and I'm sure the project took its pound of flesh from the crew like any other dev team working in any other game. On the other end, fandoms are fickle and vocal fans tend to be far more extreme in their opinions that the actual majority of people.

Ok, I'm gonna be straight with you, you got a serious case of Opinion Myopia going on. I don't think you comprehend that people are allowed to like things that you don't like. And your words about Mania are coming off as vindictive and spiteful simply because it's not your preference for Sonic, rather than any actual critique about the game itself. You simply hate it on principal. That might be why your entries on the wiki are being deleted.
If people liking something that you don't like bothers you that much, then I think you need to do a little self reflection.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Look, you're really not paying attention to what I just explained in the last post. The reason why I snapped was because people - including several of you - were bashing me for having a different opinion. You in particular have been doing it for some time, so the fact that you're calling me out for it is just incredibly hypocritical
people calling you a troll because you have an unpopular opinion was wrong, but beyond that, the problem is that you haven't been particularly good at substantiating your opinion and most of your criticisms are hard to really engage with because the recurring backbeat behind them is "I don't like Genesis era Sonic" . It's fine to feel that way of course but it's not something that really can be discussed because it's purely a question of personal taste. Finally, no offense, but you kinda come off as needlessly bitter that something you didn't enjoy is being well received, which is just petty and kinda pointless.

We have been critiquing you because your thesis was 1) poorly explained, 2) founded more on a dislike of Classic Sonic (which is fine in itself, preferences are preferences) and resentment of the game's success than anything to do with the game itself, and 3) because what little complaints about the actual game you had were either relatively minor or deliberate stylistic choices.
Again, there have been others who disliked Mania, who were able to give solid, understandable reasons why. And because of that, few people have given them a hard time over it. Just because it's an opinion doesn't mean no one is allowed to challenge it. If you express an opinion, people are naturally going to ask why you feel that way, meaning you'd better be damn ready to explain your opinion. If you can't understand that, you are going to have a very hard time going through life.
Now, you can either accept the above and do some serious thinking and consequent growth, or you can just stop putting opinions on the internet. And if the latter sounds unreasonable to you, that only leaves you with one option...
Or just listen to people who have said all the above better than I could.

Do not spare the feelings of those who would not spare yours.Hey speaking of opinions, a bunch of Team Sonic Racing videos kept popping up in my feeds and a lot people genuinely want a sequel.
Any past Sonic stages/ideas you'd guys want for Courses? I'd love to see Forces' City, Prison Island, some other Sonic Colors planets, City Escape, or even Eggmanland (at least break it up in 3 sections like the Wii lol.)
I’d like all of those honestly! ^^ Studiopolis would be the obvious inclusion and it’d be really neat to see it in 3D, for others, maybe Music Plant? They referenced it in a color pack so idk if that’s a hint or not lol. A stage based on Radical Highway maybe? It could fit in a theme with City Escape and the Forces City ^^
It does seem even better than the previous leak, if nothing else.

My only problem is the artists working on the film have probably been in mega-crunch mode to try and fix a design that they probably knew was bad from the beginning, but that they were forced to go with anyway.
(I have no proof that's what happened, but I've seen a lot of pro artists on twitter saying that this doesn't seem an unlikely scenario based on their experience).
I wish the Game Gear Sonic games would get rereleases or at least acknowledged now and then. I think the last time they were available besides on the original system was in Sonic Adventure DX and the Sonic Gems collection.
The Protomen enhanced my life.I think they’re all on the 3ds virtual console, but yeah a collection or something would be nice. I mean look how well the Mega Man collections have done, I’m surprised Sega hasn’t just done a Sonic collection with the classics and the game gear games, is 3&K even on current gen systems at all?

Supposedly, there’s some licensing issue with Sonic 3’s music or something that’s prevented it from getting the same treatment as Sonic 1, 2, and CD. It’s notably missing from the fairly recent Sega Genesis Classics and Sega Genesis Mini, for instance.

Tails isn't a coward in Mania. If you want to call one instance of being startled by lightning cowardice, that's no one else's problem.
