Silver and Whisper fought Zor in IDW comics when they hi-jacked the Zombots. IDW did give Zor a bit more to work with than the emo stereotype I guess and made him more of a twisted sadist along with his nihilistic world view. He compliments the heroes for leaving him to the Zombots in a That's so twisted, I love it kind of way.
Amy fought Zomom with Tails. Zomom was forcing survivors to make him food and if he didn't like it he'd throw them to the zombots.
I do think IDW went a bit in the right direction of making the D6 better villians but I don't think it went far enough. The problem I find with them is they were built from the start to be stereotypes character wise which makes it inherently pretty hard to flesh them out more as people won't see past the retreaded stereotypes.

I believe they might work better if they were put in more creative or out there scenarios as hard as that sounds.
Like Zomom & the chick after gaining control of Zombots reacted as expected. Zomom simply commanded his followers to constantly bring him food while the chick commanded her followers to constantly bring her treasures & worship her. Not only did they use the Zombots in very basic ways, they used them similarly to each other.
It goes back to their original appearance in that their overall boss battles were just terrible. It was a bunch of weird gimmicks and mechanics that clashed with what little character each one had & was just generally underwhelming when executed in gameplay.
That is their ultimate sin really. You don't have to be the most complex character ever but if your boss battle sucks then that is truly irredeemable.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."The main issue I have with the Zeti is that they're out of place. Lost World in general is a strange, experimental game where they were trying something new, but it didn't really work. So now we're left with these weird one-dimensional creatures that feel like they should be in another video game series entirely.
How many anthropomorphic animal villains do we have in the series that aren't from the comics? I think Infinite and the Hooligans might be the only ones.

Nack the Weasel, Fang the Sniper, Shadow, Silver, Knuckles, Jet and the Babylon Rouges, Biolizard, Infinite.
I actually like that the comics introduced "evil animals" who were subservient to Eggman. It ruins the Green Aesop of the earlier games but, hey, evil doesn't always discriminate Monkey Genghis Khan and Master Wooly Mammoth were fun Archie ideas.

That doesn't make them entirely wrong though; Sonic Adventure 2 brought in a lot of elements many classic fans felt were "wrong", but they made it work.
It really comes down to execution. The question becomes, do they proceed with trying to make it work or just scrap it all together.
It's rather clear Sega feel the former, regardless of how fans feel...which is ironic; they finally disregard fan opinion...but on an element that people don't like, go figure.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.An advertisement for investors
teases big stuff for Sonic's 30th birthday next year.
Which is just as well, since 2020 has been a complete bust for the most part...
It took a global pandemic but Sonic did get a passable movie at least. With the worst premise possible, a mostly unremarkable cast, and despite having everything working against it from initial trailer reactions to a rush job fixing Sonic's design.
this might actually be the year they announce Sonic Adventure 3, or the year they reveal a secret 2.5 D game that leaves Classic and Modern satisfied, or maybe we'll finally get a Sonic/Mario crossover game that isn't at the olympics.

No, “worst premise possible” would have been the one once planned where Movie-Sonic actually was Game-Sonic who escaped from his game.
That does sound pretty bad, but as long as they were being tongue-in-cheek about it I could see the Narm Charm working. Like in an old, 90's video game commercial kind of way.
Me three, was able to watch it in the theater before the covid started here in Finland.

One Strip! One Strip! If any of you remember that one fangame Sonic GT I posted a video of a while back...
At this years SAGE, the devs released the finished game.
It's still 4 levels, but 2 originals got major overhauls and the Radical Highway port was made into an original level.
And 3 bosses, 5 challenges per act, and a time attack...of course.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. The speed-o-meter, inclusion of Super Sonic, and use of Marble Hill are nice touches... but unless there's some invisible walls that city stage looks like several accidents waiting to happen. The music and environments are lacking something.
But how many people worked on this? People like this should be making Sonic games.
There are no invisible walls, just have to follow the arrows...

Keep all of them is the true ideal...since they're the D6.
