It'd be fun if a Sonic RPG focused on a momentum based battle system: allowing the player to build up ability over time to unleash it all at once, or act more often but for less effect.
I think the Bravely series does something like that, though I'm not into that series so I'm not sure.
Xenosaga also does that, where you can sacrifice your turns to build up power points that let you use stronger attacks later. Trails games also have a very in-character thing for Sonic to do, where your limit break can be used real time to skip ahead of the turn order and steal an enemy's turn.
The Sonic movie is starting to sound pretty good.
I'm actually, genuinely excited to see it now.
There's been news?
Yeah, where is this coming from?

It seems like the same leak/test screening from the person who liked it (note said person wasn't really into Sonic).
Cross-post from the Sonic movie thread (it's not spoiler-heavy, but...)

Hmm, I see.
This trivia has rattled.
"the name eggman is never used"
Oh, so THOSE kinds of fans are making the movie. Haha J/k
It wouldn't exactly be fitting since he looks not like an Egg Man.
At least they use Robotnik.

Now people have a reason to care about the movie.
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020:
Play Olympics like itís 1985 (or 1991) with retro 2D events!

Heh. Here they go pushing Classic Sonic again.

Too bad they didn't wanna make new sprites.
Yeah, kind of a shame that only characters that were around back then and thus already had sprites seem to be invited to join in those events.
I meant animations, but...yeah that too is negative.
Thinking they should have used the Super Mario World/All Stars sprites instead of the NES ones.
This mode looks like a Newgrounds flash game from the early 2000s
It really does look better...
Live And Learn (Recut) is the best high-quality rip from SA 2's lost soundtrack, and clearly shows Shadow's fondness for animation imports from Japan :V
On a serious note, youtube music channels like BrawlBRSTMS3 X have been killed by copyright claims from Nintendo. While not a Nintendo property, that's where I always listened to Sonic music. It looks like Gi1vaSunner is going to be next.

Nintendo's YT policies can go fuck off. I've already seen a pretty big ripple in the Youtube game soundtrack uploads.
Weird. I thought I'd posted this. Having serious deja vu.
The spritework is nice.
