These are Boston bands, for the record. I do not live in Boston but am near it.

You might even recognize the above song: a remix of it was in a DDR game, apparently. I think The Motion Sick are officially broken up for good, but their singer is now in The Michael J. Epstein Memorial Library and Do Not Forsake Me Oh My Darling.

Rob Potylo - Worried All The Time. I was actually recording that myself, so forgive the darkness and shakiness.

Jenny Dee and The Deelinquents - Keeping Time

Bad Rabbits - Neverland

Ho-Ag - Teeth For Eyes (really wish I could find some better-sounding clips than this)

And finally, The Appreciation Post - The Beating Of A Lifetime. I posted it in the free music thread already, but they've got a free EP for download.

Desert are a power metal band from my city. They are best buds with Sabaton and the latter's vocalist made an appearance on their latest album. Desert play power metal, though, which doesn't really do anything for me.

Other than that, the music scene in my city is pretty much non-existent. In fact, the music scene in the entirety of Israel is very subdued. There's too much fusion artists and garage bands, and metal bands are of the most banal varieties imaginable: Betzefer the "FUCKIN' ROCK N ROLL" Pantera imitators, Whorecore the generic grindcore band... And then there's the awful taste of Israelis when it comes to dance floor music.

And I can't leave this chap unmentioned: [1] (I'm not from Londonderry, but I never miss an opportunity to bring him up).

Do you like Pop Punk?

If you answered yes to the above question, you may want to check out Boston FresKo. They're pretty awesome, and I have class with the lead singer. So yeah, worth mentioning they're a high school age band, but they've got freaking talent, especially Billy, the aforementioned singer.

It's kinda hard to hear him at the beginning (mic trouble) but it gets better. Also, a trombone player randomly shows up, there's a story behind that, but it's long and not something any of y'all care about.

Not the first time Ive heard the comparison, actually.

Green Day has also been mentioned as similar, but the lead singer hates Green Day, so you can imagine how well that goes down.

Do Not Forsake Me Oh My Darling, who I mentioned earlier, are now getting a decent amount of online attention for doing a music video that recreates the title sequence to The Prisoner. It's pretty neat:
