Exactly what the title says. I was never a big fan of the Ben 10 series, but from what I've read Dwayne had a large part in creating the series.

Here to get some info from bigger Ben 10 fans and fans of Dwayne's other works.

I was just having a conversation about that guy and what he might be doing in the future. Shit...

Did he still have a hand in Static after DC took it and made it a part of the main DC Universe?

He wrote All Star Superman, which I saw today when it came out. Western animation and comics will never be the same without him.

EDIT: Don't mean to sound like a prick, but it saddens me some of you do not know who he is. He wrote the best DC Comics stories ever. I could care less about Ben 10 though, no offense.

Though I wasn't the biggest fan of Ben 10, it's tragic that the poor guy had to die young.

And damn, they day after his birthday? What kind of cosmic kick in the balls is that?

Not the biggest one considering about 1 in 52 people probably die the week of their birthday. And this isn't even counting holidays like Christmas.

Ruining everything forever.

I'm sure Ben 10 will continue on, but 'tis a shame for him to pass away.

Forty-nine's really not that old for someone to die of unknown circumstances.

Yeah, but he was also responsible for Static Shock, so...

Yeah admittedly, I didn't like his direction of Ben 10, but from his Faq you could tell that he was a really fun guy. It really does suck that somebody like him isn't with us anymore.

It could have just been a coincidence, but Justice League is considered to have gotten far better in the second season alongside him joining the writing team. It is sad to hear he's passed away.

Considering that Static Shock was one of my favorite superhero 'toons as a kid? DAMN IT, DAMN IT, DOUBLE DAMN IT.

Rest in peace, good sir. You have made fond memories and happy hours for many, many kids, and that's a hell of a resume.

Dwayne McDuffie is dead?

...

...

Ow. The man was a brilliant storyteller and creative mastermind. That's horribly tragic— as a viewer I loved his work, and as a writer I drew inspiration from his craftsmanship.

Heaven got a little more super on Monday. Rest in peace.

Agreed.

And I did like Static Shock (what's wrong with it, Rich Reeders?), so I respected him alot for that.

Wasn't Static Shock that cartoon with Shaquille O'Neal?

^^^^ It was also a comic that eventually got integrated into the DCU

Ben 10 stopped being good after Alien Force started. Static was kinda meh. More importantly, he also did Justice League and Unlimited, as well as All Star Superman and Crisis On Two Earths. Pity he's dead.

Mc Duffie only did Alien Force. Had nothing to do with the original Ben 10.

[up] And "Ultimate Alien".

[up][up][up][up] Yeah, Executive Meddling forced all those guest-stars on. Aside from that, it was usually a cool show.

Has it been confirmed that any series 4 episodes have been written up?
