Haldis scanned down the parchment, curious as to what other families had joined the expedition. "Hmm, why does this already have 'two Alloi' marked down?" he muttered to himself, looking at the assembly for any faces he recognised. He didn't see any but he did spy a child effortlessly bending a dagger. "Ah." After correcting the list to 'three Alloi' and 'one Phan', Haldis made is way over to the copper haired boy.
<insert heartwarming family reunion which I will write later when I'm not meant to be somewhere else>
"My dear, we're fleeing for our lives, your outfit is going to look a lot worse in a few days," Haldis told the angry young woman.

You must agree, my plan is sheer elegance in its simplicity! My Tumblr"Damn your outfit, woman!" Thaddeus limped in with an agry expression. "We have more important things to worry about!"
He thrust the paper and pen into her hands. "Sign your family name. Number the people in it. Go back home and tell them that they better show up at Pudacah this time next week to escape to the Islands or they will be left behind. Tell them Thaddeus Dex Ducis is providing for the journey. If they won't leave then they better prepare for a world of hurt!"
He then limped back into the main room and back to his chair.
Andrew Redrain mostly kept to himself that morning. Given that he lived out of a very small house, had no rings, gaudy, useless little things his parents would have wanted, he was not much bothered by soldiers, well yet.
He pondered about the fate of those deciding to run away instead of fighting here...would that ever really solve anything? Letting the sacks of shit who treated them like playthings live on...while they continued to run away? What use was running? What if the Island Empire was as tyrannical as this place? The only solution was a mass extermination.
"Indeed. And I daresay no outfit would help you with an attitude like that..." Rostov egged on as he beat his hat against the wall, trying to clean out the hat. "All I wanted to do was teach her how to cook, and maybe force a bolt between her lips. But now if you will leave me be..." Rostov yawned softly, before trying to walk out the way he came in. "I wish to take a nap now... without Ms. Speaksalot on my heels." He added irritatedly
Pokedy Poke-pokeZieg Canis...
That was quite a name for a squire to say... To say that the man's reputation preceded him would be a horrible understatement. Alice was quite surprised that such a squire had decided to go after her for appearances alone.
Everything her parents had taught her pointed that the man must have some hidden purpose... Though he must be a master at deception for that seeing how honest he seemed. For that possibility alone she should keep a cautious eye on him when he worked for her.
She had already decided to accept him... after all that happened, house Amsel had only one person serving under them.
Still there was one thing that bugged her.
"Raise your head, Baksas du Pharos. From what my good servant Ajit tells me, you have a rather nasty habit of keeping it down. If you're going to serve the head of the Amsel family then that will not do at all" Alice said, standing up from her chair and taking two short steps towards the man.
Once he looked up at her she fixed her gaze on the man's eyes "I don't know if you realize what you're getting into... but I'll accept your service"
Violet huffed, shaking sand out of her hair. A simple one on one was a good lark but she didn't need to make enemies of everyone in the room over it. Just the one with the pipe, there would be a reckoning to be sure. She rubbed her cheek, the stinging replaced by itching, from the sand she figured.
She glanced down at the list pressed into her hands. So the prince was providing for the journey? Nice, here was that handout she'd given up on. Briefly she considered doubling the members of her family, it'd let them sit in comfort for once if they had twice the provisions. Shrugging, she scrawled out Coil under family name and the proper figure to encompass them should they all come. Which they wouldn't, not on her word. After a moment, she listed 'Petardier ~ 1' beneath that. She was here on his behalf as much as her family's.
"Alright alright, who else needs this?" She called out, waving the parchment over her head. She glanced at a smiley faced, even-more-elderly-than-Mustache man. "Healing? Sure, lay it on me." She'd had a limited experience with the powers of other nobles, save those served with in the war. It was always fun to try out new things.
Rostov waived Lykouleon off as he passed on by. "Meh... gonna sleep it off. Sleep is a good thing to have..." He muttered quietly, before making his way to the chair he sat at before. There he placed his arms in front of him, sank his head into his arms, and was snoring before anyone knew just what happened.
Pokedy Poke-pokeUmbra's thought process wasn't exactly foreign to somebody who's been awakened several times while trying to rest.
The first time he was awakened, it was by a knocking on the door. He rather quickly went back to sleep, figuring it was just somebody who was rather late. The second time, it was by the girl who was behind the knocking, Doing what Rostov would later that morning describe as yapping. He was irritated, and had just gotten back to sleep as he was awakened the third time by Rostov shouting about cooking. He was confused and growing more irritated, but nevertheless nodded back off just as the shouting started up again, this time it was Thaddeus shouting about a dress. At that point, he was irritated to the point of retaliation against those who were constantly waking him up.
And that was how a cushion from a rather comfortable chair came to be thrown through the air aimed squarely at Violet's head.
"I'm trying to sleep!"
(◕ ヮ ◕)ノViolette closed her eyes, waiting for the magic healing to begin. There was a soft thud as something squished against her face. It didn't feel like healing, it felt like a pillow fight. She opened one eye suspiciously, glancing down to see the cushion which had smacked her.
"Jeez, and here I thought other nobles were stuck up and boring. I should have hung out with you all years ago."

Lykouleon blinked, then smiled and chuckled. "Excellent throw. Now then..." The old man raised his right hand, closing his eyes. A white light began to glow from his arm, growing in intensity until it was nearly blinding. As it did, it seemed to detach from his arm, floating in midair as an almost painfully bright pinprick of light, as if a star had decided that the property values down on Gaea were better. The light washed over all present, soothing them and making any small cuts or bruises vanish slowly. After a moment, it blinked out in instant, Lykouleon letting his long sleeves cover his hands again. "Feel any better?"
Maou stood at the side of the room, watching the action. Several people were playing around, others were going back to sleep, and there was no purposeful tasks being done at all. "Hey, apparantly, this evacuation is extremely urgent but we have time to nap and to play around. Makes a lot of sense to me."
"Probably because the mental age around here seems to be ten" Alexander glared at Umbra.
He walked to the nearest chair and sat down.
"But if you are so eager, Dice, I suggest we sit down and finally talk things over, he said while making an inviting gesture at Maou.

Maou obliged, sitting himself down on the chair opposite of Alexander's. It was said that one's sitting posture could define what kind of person he was. Maou was relaxing, legs crossed on the table and his chair leaning backwards.
"So, specifics. How exactly are we going to get out of this soon-to-be hellhole? Do we have a set route to follow or are we just going to make it up on the way?"
Umbra was about to respond to Violette's comment when Alex insulted his maturity and gave him a dirty look.
Oh, it was on.
Umbra went into the other room again, pulled a couch cushion off of the sofa the Amils had slept on, and slowly moved into optimal position to throw the couch cushion at Alexander.

Baksas' nerves unclenched, as did his overall demeanor. In his excitement and relief, he stood up and quickly covered the short distance between himself and Alice.
"I'm honored, no, honored doesn't even begin to cover it. I swear I will never fail you, never le—" It was at this point that he realized that he had taken Alice's hands in his own. His face, somehow both went pale with shame, knowing the breach of protocol that had just occurred, as well as turning red with embarrassment, because you, well... you know, that is.. erm...

"Ah... right..." Baksas said, retreating. About to prostrate himself again, he stopped mid bow.
"I feel like it would be proper to put my head down and ask for forgiveness now, but you just said..."
Fear the Gothilolions! | Anime listUmbra was just about to throw the cushion at Alexander. The perfect angle, the throw planned out to the moment the cushion hit his head.
And then he noticed Baksas and Alice.
Resist urge to comment. Resist. Resiiiiiist...
He then hurled the cushion at Alexand-
He pulled something in his arm. He clutched at it, the pain being more like stubbing your toe than any real injury.
The cushion, however, went off course. And went straight toward Alice.
In the short time he had to think before the cushion made it's impact, Umbra had time to think one thing:
Craaaaap

(◕ ヮ ◕)ノ"It was a spur of the moment and your very first indiscretion. I think it'll be enough if you look at my eyes and apologize" Alice said, taking one step away from the table to feel a bit less cornered... and just in the way to be hit in the head with a cushion.

Andrew decided to monitor what they were doing, and entered the house with a hot dog and started eating it sinisterly.
His eyes glanced around at everyone, his glance a glare of pure malice and the desire to kill, but he remained quiet. He looked down at his food item and sighed, some of the leftover food which had traveled through the meat was still in there. He ate it anyway.

"Who was that?" Baksas bellowed, having already jumped between Alice and the direction the cushion had come from. His appearance and manner now was notably different than the dirt-eating humble boy. His eyes were narrowed in stare probably overly-fierce considering the relative mildness of the crime that had been committed, and he was standing at his full height. He was tall for his age, though being only a teen he was thus not terribly imposing.
"You shall apologize for this act immediately."

Selina gave a bow.
"I apologize Elder. I merely wished to put a stop to the fighting, and a distraction seemed the best way to do so."
I spread my wings and I learn how to fly....
