The souls of those so angry and so corrupt, that they broke free of being tortured, most of them are on a vengeance streak or they act like demons. They can even give themselves form, some of them can leave the Netherrealm through the sheer willpower of their anger it seems. That or Shinnok likes letting the wraiths loose on the other realms sometimes.

You mean the keyhammers? Jade delivered them, then fainted several times because of an anthropomorphic rabbit DJ.
-Chuckles to self and picks up the Deedeetar-
Brilliant thing this, luckily the source hammer was the mechanical version and not just wood all the way through. Those keys flipping out give a nice punch to the impact.
It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.(nods hello to Pentigan)
Hm. The soul of a mortal after death is judged. Depending on amount of evil they committed, they can end up in Heaven, Purgatory or Hell. Heaven is a peaceful place, devoid of concerns and sorrow, the place we cannot enter without suffering significant injuries. Think about pouring a molten gold into your throat, that's how the average demon feels when doing so much as stepping into Lesser Heaven. Purgatory is divided into two parts: The one for Heavens and the one for us. The former is a gigantic prison where souls are kept until they are finally deemed worthy of entering Heaven, although certain people are meant to stay there forever. The latter is what I used to govern alongside Himler and Forcas. It's a pretty lawless place where hordes of Luciferians rampage as they please, hunting down all uncorrupted souls. Finally, there's Hell for those whose sins are too heavy to be forgiven. Paradoxically, it's better to end up in there rather than in "our" Purgatory, as your "only" punishment will be eternal torture instead of becoming a demon.

-nods- Hmm, for the Netherrealm, If you die, and your soul is even a little bit corrupted, you go to the Netherrealm. And it's pretty hard to go a whole life without committing a single act that will put a stain on your soul. I remember little of my Mortal life, as rarely souls become Demons or even rarer Oni on death. I don't know where those "pure" souls go. I think they just wander around in the other realms
"You'd never do something as irrational as dying."If you do end up taunting her about it, you probably shouldn't mention that it was me who told you about it.
-Puts Deedeetar back into inventory-
I haven't really had a chance to get into combat yet. Of course if things get too bad I could just summon Ur.

-shrugs- Seems like your demonic undead are closer to Wraiths in my world. Our undead are just mindless, they don't really know what they're doing at all. Generally they're treated as pests, not much danger from them at all.
