Streets (Masami)
"Don't apologize."
-She had no way of knowing he hasn't been here long.-
"...Who are you looking for?"
-Maybe he can try to help out...-
-He's not a complete jerk or anything. It seems like Ake needs help, so he can't really just say 'you're on your own' about something that seems pretty serious.-

The Breezy Place (Ai)
-Yeah... She definitely wants to go check on him...-
"Yeah... I'll check the hospital when I'm done."
-Or at least she'll try to get to the hospital...-
-...She doesn't have money for a ride...-
-She finds herself looking over at Grant, feeling bad. The poor guy seems like he really needs a break...-

Outside The Breezy Place
-Laurel looks around, and thinks to himself "the greenery would've been good street-side dressing for the shop, make it an advertising neighbourhood..."-
-he sighs for a moment, and looks up- Have you been standing there for days straight? Geez... I'm sorry.
I forgot to tell you when you can take breaks and go off the clock.
Take a couple days off, grab yourself a forest to eat or something. I'm not sure how giants really nourish themselves, otherwise like I said before, I would be offering you staff meals from the shop.
The Breezy Place
Calm down, everyone!~ It's just a giant that's helping us out with advertising, no need to be alarmed!~
Do you want a complimentary brownie for the scare, sir? -she smiles widely and warmly-
1.5 imperial gallons of tea were consumed during the writing of this post...T-thank you so much, sir.
-He gives a slight, sheepish smile, revealing a set of sharp, pointy, and very non-humanlike teeth.-

"...You're sure?"
-He actually doesn't mind. Dealing with helping someone find someone else is way better than having to deal with rowdy and obnoxious customers in Card Capital.-
-Or dealing with some of his (well, more of Aichi's) obnoxious friends in general.-
-Besides, he might be able to get a good idea of where he is and what's going on if he tags along...-
-He's similar to Misaki in demeanor, honestly. Aloof, serious, and a bit stern... Although he might also seem a tad more icy than Misaki is.-

The Breezy Place
-within a few seconds, a plate is put down in front of Allen with the brownie upon it, as well as his Coffee by the side- Enjoy it, sir!~
Outside the Breezy Place
You can call me Laurel, Grant.
When you get hungry, you can take a break. If nature's telling you to go on break, go on break.
Now you're a strong lad, and I'm sure you'll be able to make it the rest of the week. Then you're free to go.
1.5 imperial gallons of tea were consumed during the writing of this postO-okay, si- I mean, Laurel...
...
S-sorry about the roof...
-Man, this kid sure apologizes a lot.-
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."...
-Sighs deeply, and...-
-THUD-
-Plops himself down on the ground.-
-The earth once again rumbles under his weight.-
-He has not crushed anyone or anything under...-
-... Or so this narrator hopes.-
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."-The ground shakes...?-
O-oh, yeah, that... happens...
-He looks a bit embarrassed about it. Perhaps he should watch his weight...-
-He checks to see if there's anything under his butt. Thankfully, there doesn't seem to be.-
-He finds towns a little awkward for his size...-
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."W-what... world...? T-there is more than one?
-He appears confused by Laurel's statement.-
I-I've always lived around this p-place... My home is over there.
-He points to a mountain range far in the distance.-
... O-or at least, it used to be.

You- haven't realised it then. This world is a nexus between multiple worlds. A crossover point, an intersection of roads.
You swung onto this roundabout, likely from a world where things are much larger than they are in others.
Did you ever meet small people before you came to this town?
1.5 imperial gallons of tea were consumed during the writing of this post-Grant looks like an absolute deer in the headlights. He doesn't quite understand what Laurel is telling him.-
Y-yes...? I-I know about the little people, but I d-didn't see many until now... T-this town used to be empty.
A-are you from... somewhere else?
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."Streets (Masami)
-...?-
-Parallel universes...?-
-He never really thought about it, but...-
"...The idea sounds ridiculous."
-He wouldn't have pictured parallel dimensions. He knows that people out there believe in that sort of thing, but it's honestly ridiculous to imagine something like that being the truth.-
-...-
"What are you getting at?"
Outside The Breezy Place
Yes. There used to be a different nexus. But that one had a rat infestation so bad that it caused the reality to collapse.
So we had to move here, as refugees.
I was made in that other world. My gene pool- I don't even know how many of them come from different places.
If I had access to genetic memories, I'd probably be confused- part of me is an alien known as a Quarian. But there's other parts that are human, and a part of me that makes me feel... dead inside. Like I'm somehow hollow.

-He looks at Laurel.-
S-sir, can I leave now... I'm hungry and t-there's no more food around...
-All the trees and plants around the Breezy Place have mysteriously disappeared...-
