The Breezy Place (Survivor Emi)
-Her sheepish expression is pretty darn similar to her brother's once she hears the 'boyfriend' comment.-
-Of course they thought that...-
"Eheheh... Yeah..."
-Ah, she must have been a tad distracted when they all said their names (A.K.A. the narrator had a lapse of memory).-
"It's nice to meet you all!"
-She goes ahead and pays for the meal.-
"I'll come by again sometime!"
-Now it's time to get to the hospital!-
—
Streets (Aichi) and (Misaki)
-Aichi and Misaki are just walking down the sidewalk together.-
-This place actually reminds them a little of home. Being in a city...-
"It seems like a nice place..."
"...Yeah."
-Aichi still finds himself looking at Misaki for some reason, although he's not entirely sure why...-
"Um..."
"What is it, Aichi?"
-...! He... doesn't know what he was even wanting to say...-
"...N-Nothing! S-Sorry..."
-He feels so awkward now...-
-And yet... he feels happy to be with Misaki. He always enjoys spending time with her, and today's no different.-
-Even if he's feeling a bit odd and awkward.-
-Misaki, meanwhile, is confused and a tad concerned.-
-He's been acting a tad strange since they got here...-
"..."
-...Is he feeling all right?-
-This isn't a side effect of his relapse, is it...?-
-...No, it couldn't be. That'd be ridiculous...-
-He must just be stressed out is all. Like everyone else...-

The Streets
If you can't imagine it then, I don't imagine you'd be prepared for it if it did happen, Horus, ol' buddy.
Don't kill me for saying it but these things are never easy to imagine happening.
I mean, what if Guilliman believed you had failed in leadership? Maybe he'd think it justified to challenge your authority.
The Breezy Place
Yes, please come again! And spread a good word, we're a new business in town!~
I hope things go well for you at the hospital, Emi.
Safe trip!

-Are those... footsteps?-
-Whatever is producing the noise, it must be gigantic...-

Horus' face flashed in anger for a moment, but he remained composed.
"You have no knowledge of the Imperium, nor myself or my brothers. The need for an introduction stands to that. The distance between us, in both space and time as it appears, would not allow you to understand them as I do, or contemplate how grand and implacable they are. But, this same distance means you can think of the impossible. You remind me of someone. I like that."
[forum cryptid: it/it's]...Try not to be frightened or something, my smaller countrymen, this pond is my new home, I guess... Much warmer than that lake, probably more amable to my survival for perhaps another year, or whenever my organs decide to give out from ingesting all those filthy little rat creatures.
(A tinny, sad little voice who kind of sounds like a Japanese newscaster from the 1950s or something pipes up from beneath the pond's surface.)
(god whatever it is must be HUGE tho, despite the small, sad voice...)

Hey, big guy, I'm just saying that sometimes you need an outsiders' opinion on matters.
You could say easily that there's stuff I think would be impossible, and yet you'd think it very possible too.
So y'know. Doesn't hurt to contemplate the impossible... especially not around here. This is a nexus between worlds, technically speaking, if you subscribed to theories of alternate timelines, you could meet one of your fellow primarchs here, and yet they come from a timeline where they turned away from the Imperium.
The Breezy Place
Oh geez, what is that?
Do you want me to have a look at it?
I think that'd be wise!
I agree with Tori, Laurel go check it out!
-sighs deeply- Al right... -he walks to the door, and peers out into the street-

-The monstrous creature must be right around the corner!-
-From behind a skyscraper, its horrifying visage is revealed.-
-OH MY WORD, IT'S A...-
-... boy?-
-A boy indeed.-
-A very tall boy.-
-Taller than most buildings around.-
-He could easily lean on some of the taller buildings.-
-Or even sit on the smaller ones.-
-And sure enough...-
-He makes his way over to the Breezy Place, thankfully managing to avoid stepping on any object or person...-
-... And sits down on top of it.-
-The roof cracks and bends slightly under his weight.-
-He reaches for one of the decorative trees lining the streets, plucks it out of the earth, and...-
-MUNCH-
-Takes a bite out of it.-
-He doesn't seem to have noticed Emi, or anybody else who might be around.-

-Its survival...?-

The Breezy Place (Survivor Emi)
-Emi just watches, absolutely gobsmacked as the guy shows up, sits down, and begins eating a tree.-
"Ehhhhhhh?!"
-Like her brother, but less drawn out and less loud.-
-She looks over at Laurel when he walks out.-
"H-He's...!"
-He's sitting on the building!-
-Everyone's going to need to get out of there probably!-
"I think you need to get out of there!"
Streets (Aichi) and (Misaki)
-Both of them are just casually walking along, taking in the sights, when they see Julie.-
-Is she from this city? It'd be nice to talk to someone who lives here!-
"O-Oh, hello."
"...Hello."
-Julie, you have company in the form of a blue-haired boy and a light purple-haired girl!-
-The boy seems kind, but shy. He's smiling gently, although he seems to be a little red from awkwardness-
-The girl seems more aloof and stern. She's just got a fairly neutral expression right now, and doesn't seem particularly talkative.-
-Seems like they're new here!-
-He casually chews on the tree, stopping when he seems to hear panicked voices.-
-Swallows.-
O-oh?
-He looks down and sees...-
-... little people!-
-He looks startled.-
-Little people? In this town?-
-He quickly sits up, taking out the earbuds he's wearing.-
I-I'm so very sorry! I didn't notice!
-He speaks in hushed tones.-

"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."Full as ever of questions, I see. Well...
(Slowly lifts his HUGE SCARY SALAMANDER HEAD just a liiiiittle bitty bit above the surface, gentle enough to not stir up any wake.)
...This probably answers question number one. As for the second... It's really hard to say, these days. I didn't die in the apparent war like I assumed I was going to, so there's that, and I had a fairly delicious school of carp for my breakfast, but I am still so weary from what was likely my first and last taste of actual combat, and I don't even think it was the Americans, which casts a starkly Kafkaesque light over my already Kafkaesque existence...
(prolonged, gurgly sigh...)
...But I'm alive. And... I suppose it all made for a decent story. Perhaps that alone is somewhat positive.

He chuckled at a thought.
"A nexus. The thought brings me some amusement. Perhaps that is how you got turned around, Sejanus?" he said lightheartedly, prodding fun at the captain. Sejanus nodded in reply, but did not speak.
"I wonder what they would say if they could arrive here. I doubt they would want to."
He paused and gave and humored a thought.
"I would not have entertained such a notion before recent events, but I find myself at a loss, as Sejanus and I have found ourselves. I should hope to get back, to speak to the Mournival again. If there was to be even a hint of corruption in our ranks I would stamp it out as surely as I have crushed those who would stand before us."

-Brie steps out and shakes her fist at the boy- You're gonna get sued for damages!
Brie, don't say that.
Streets
-nods- See, that's what I like to hear.
And the attention probably shouldn't just be on your fellow primarchs either.
You know earth's history enough that sometimes it's the work of evil ministers that turns a country to civil war, rather than their leaders?

Maybe you should've thought of that before sitting on my coffee shop!
Brie, please, he didn't know we were here. And he's also capable of crushing us easily with the force of his colossal nature.

-He didn't notice?!-
-Emi's baffled.-
-At the very least this giant seems nice...-
-...Man, reminds her of her brother and how he'd apologize for doing something without thinking or paying attention.-
"I-It's fine... Please be more careful!"
-Wait, sue him?!-
"W-Wait a minute, he didn't know any better!"
-The poor kid doesn't need to be sued over it, does he...?-
-Can't they arrange something outside of court?-

-A-A big salamander creature...!-
-Aichi's eyes widen a little, not expecting that.-
-Although...-
"Y-You thought you were going to die in the battle...?"
-Oh dear... Poor boy's still seeming worried about that, although he's remaining calm.-
-...Or at least calm in comparison to other Aichis. Perhaps that's how it should be thought of.-
-Aichi gets really good grades in school, but he doesn't really understand that 'Kafkaesque' comment...-

"O-Oh, um... I-It's just that we were wondering if you lived here..."
"...We're new to this city."
-...Yeah, after the Room was destroyed...-
"...S-Sorry, we were just a little curious..."

Streets
Well for the sake of your Emperor, I hope that'll always be the case.
I don't wanna say 'oh, you might get a traitor' but uh... history's full of families kinda breaking apart. Hell, in a lot of feudal societies it was all brother-kill-brother in competition for the throne...
Not to say of course, that that's gonna happen. I'm just saying, you should probably keep an eye on internal politics as much as your external politics.
After all, an insurrection in your own lands is quite a big obstacle in a war, right?
The Breezy Place
Oh good, I nearly thought he was your boyfriend. -whelp, Emi, you thought too soon-
Ahhaha, that would've been awkward!
I thought we said our names, Emii buuuut, all together at once! I'm Brie, I own this place, hence why it's The Brie-zy place!
The lovely lady with the red eyes, and the black hair is Tori!
-courtsey-
And the grump with the purple skin, and baggy eyes is Laurel.
It's a pleasure.
