Outskirts
-Cappro felt rather intimidated, but he still kept still-
-quietly, he thanked the stars that his helmet was face-concealing, and that his posture didn't tend to betray his emotions-
-he just quietly raised a hand and waved at them- Top of the mornin' to ye?

-Aichi smiles a little.-
"She's a really nice fox. I've never seen a real one before..."
-...Ack! He should introduce himself...-
-He doesn't want to be rude.-
"...I-I'm sorry. I should introduce myself... I'm Aichi Tatsunagi."

Meanwhile at the hotel...
She lied to me! She lied! Zere is no ballroom!
-Vikki stomps angrily through the hallways.-

"It's nice to meet you both."
-He gets up and walks a bit closer... and hoo boy, this kid is tiny.-
-He's around as tall as 108 and Primero. Perhaps just the tiniest sliver shorter.-
"Um... Do you live here...?"
-In the city, he means...-
-Are they from the city or are they from the Room?-
Outskirts
Intimidation would be one way to put it. The saving grace in this God's presence is an air of authority, commanding but not dictorial.
"Sejanus." He said coolly, speaking to his companion.
"You had your concerns about our whereabouts, that we were far from our intended path. Were we to meet anyone along our way?"
His voice, though now carrying a tone of concern, is measured and practiced. It is deep, masculine as befitting his frame, but comes out smoothly, like honey. Reassuring and respectable, it melts away any fear of violence or action on this man's part towards Cappro like a parent's kind words of comfort to a child. Any actual worry or anxiety, if this man could even feel such emotions, was utterly blanketed and hidden behind his air. Whatever he was feeling, it was as if it was merely a trivial concern, a humorous occurrence that while dictating an appropriate consternation, was nothing to this God.
"Warmaster. As I said, I was not certain where we were." His companion replied after a moment. His concern was more genuine, but his pause reflected a thoughtful respect to the office and command the larger one deserved.
"We are not too far off our path. I believe I can guide us back there with the help of those native to this place. Not this man here, this place I do not recognize, but the forces I was speaking of before."
"We may resume the matter later, Sejanus."
He turned to Cappro and regarded him.
"A welcome morning to you. My friend believes that we have strayed from our path, but neither of us seem to know the way back onto our road. If you should know it, what is this place?"
[forum cryptid: it/it's]Outskirts
Far as I know it. This place is a town between worlds. A nexus of the multiverse, as I understand it...
So, 'strayed from your path' is a little bit understating the fact, as this is a detour into a ditch.
My name's Cappro. I uh, don't really have a rank, and I'm only guessing that I'm a mercenary.
1.5 imperial gallons of tea were consumed during the writing of this post"Well-met, Cappro. You don't give it enough credit. For a 'ditch', it's quite beautiful. I should think that we are fortunate to find ourselves in such a place."
"Warmaster! I think you-"
The God turned to his companion and cowed him with a glance, silencing him before he could finish.
"Sejanus. I admit that I was skeptical when you came to me, but I was then reassured that it was you, speaking to me in this place. Mine, of the Mournival. This temperament you show me now is befitting that of a child." He scolded, a dangerous sense of disappointment in his voice.
"What has become of you, my son? What ulterior complexities vex you and throw your humors into such disarray? We are not in danger, and our newfound friend has been as honest as you or I towards each other." he finished in simple flattery of Cappro.
Turning back to the soldier, he continued.
"On behalf of my Captain, I apologize for his behavior. We are obviously in a place of some refuge, and I will treat it as such."
[forum cryptid: it/it's]Outskirts
Great! Great, well ah- that's just fantastic.
So the Captain is Sejanus, and you are a Warmaster...?
I hope you guys don't disapprove of clones, though. You might meet a few people who were made by cloning around here.
1.5 imperial gallons of tea were consumed during the writing of this postSejanus' face contorted slightly, but the Warmaster knowingly put his hand out before he could object.
"This is Hastur Sejanus, 4th Captain of the Sons of Horus, and I am The Warmaster Horus Lupercal, Commander of the Emperor's Legions."
Though he places emphasis on "the", it's not condescending or impolite in tone. A mere correction, a polite push towards the correct nomenclature.
"But I sense that means little to you, or anyone else who may call this place home. Do not concern yourself with petty titles or honors. If need be, I will simply be Horus."
Sejanus balked at Horus' flagrant disregard for his own position, but said nothing, knowing better than to voice any opposing stance on the matter.

Ohhh, great. -he does notice Sejanus' contortion, but continues- Well, Warmaster Horus.
Allow me to welcome you to the city. -he just waves his hand towards the rest of it-
I imagine that yeah, people aren't really gonna recognise your authority. I don't even know what emperor you're talking about.
Like, Justinian, Napoleon, Caesar- who knows?
Only you two. Far as I know, anyhoo.
I've mapped out in my head a fair amount of the city- there's a hotel, a few sets of apartments, a pizzeria, a clothing store, a hospital, the central park, and a coffee shop run by a couple of clones that I've met before.
The Breezy Place is its' name.
1.5 imperial gallons of tea were consumed during the writing of this postHorus laughed, kindly.
"You are versed in the history of Terra! I can appreciate a man who takes the time to do so. But no, I speak of the Emperor of Mankind, Unifier of Terra, Speaker of the Imperial Truth. I am, as Warmaster, his agent in all matters in his quest to unite the galaxy. But, one needs not concern himself over a title that means nothing."
"Warmaster-!"
"SILENCE, Sejanus. I am aware of what I say, and we will speak of your transgressions at a more appropriate time."
The Warmaster spoke to his Captain harshly, unveiling a dangerous demeanor that belied his true capacity for conflict, but he quickly adjusted himself as he addressed Cappro again.
"I apologize for my Captain's indecency. I would be honored to be welcomed into your city."

Oh, wow. You must come from a far future relative to us, then.
Nobody's unified earth, far as I know. Still a bunch of corporations fighting over barren land, and that's all I know.
My history knowledge is just my pop culture knowledge.
-he stretches a shoulder slightly- Right then, Horus. I'll ah, walk you around I guess.
-he gets off of the wall, and sheathes his knife that he was polishing-
Free of charge, I'm not a greedy merc.

-Seems like he doesn't quite have the nerve to say 'you're going to overfeed her'.-

The Breezy Place (Survivor Emi)
-Emi's been out looking around for a long while now.-
-Where's Aichi?! He told her to go ahead, and that he'd catch up... but he never showed up...!-
-She knows he got out of there, but she's really struggling to find him...-
-She's seriously worried. Did he get hurt? And why did he try so hard to keep the whole thing a secret from her...?-
-Honestly, she just doesn't know what goes through Aichi's head most of the time!-
-She decides to stop at a certain cafe for help (and maybe for a nice lunch as well [She's got a bit of money left in her wallet since hers wasn't stolen or lost]).-
"Excuse me...!"
-You guys might have a customer!-
The Breezy Place
-Laurel was putting stock away, but points out the customer to the rest-
First customer of the day, I hope! Hey, welcome to the Breezy Place~
My name's Brie, I own the shop, so what can we help you with today?
-Tori also smiles, and offers a table for Emi to sit down at- You're also lucky, because we just had stock come in, so nothing's out of stock!
-as he starts laying out some food in the display- Actually the store I bought the stock from didn't have any flapjacks. So we don't have flapjacks yet.
Awww, shucks. I'm gonna have to take down that ad I made saying that we have flapjacks then...

-Emi has to admit that she's a tad relieved that the group seems rather friendly (despite apparently not having flapjacks). Although they are a tad strange-seeming to her (as she still isn't used to all of the non-humans and people running around in strange get ups)-
"Oh, thank you!"
-...Yeah, she can stay for lunch... Especially since they're in stock!-
-She actually does sit down at the table she was led to.-
-Is she supposed to get a menu or anything?-
-But still, she needs to focus on what she's supposed to be doing.-
"...I've been looking for someone, and I was wondering if you saw him."
-She seems serious and worried asking this...-
The Breezy Place
Oh? What do they look like, maybe we saw them!
Brie, don't Lie. We haven't had a single customer yet today, and yesterday we didn't really have that many people.
Not to mention how new in town we are.
Oh don't mind those two, dear. -she whispers slightly- Laurel's just our resident grump-! -she smiles widely, before proudly displaying a menu... before quickly scribbling out the flapjack option with a pen she took out of her apron-

Forest Outskirts, closer to town
-Cappro was just polishing a knife while sat on top of a wall-
-he saw the two men walking towards the town, and whistled silently- Bloody hell, I feel sorry for that guy's mother. He's built like a feckin' statue...
The Breezy Place
-Laurel switched the sign from closed to open, as he entered from the street carrying a few crates on a trolley- I've got the stock. Brie, don't eat all the brownies again.
-Brie was already at the counter, leaning against it and waiting for the store to open- You gotcha, And we already have a new hire!
Hiya, I'm Tori!~ -said Tori, already in the apron and standing by one of the tables, ready to greet the first customers of the day-
... That was quick.
