The Witch and her Familiar
◊ stood at a cautious ease.
"Oh, Salutations!"
"Hush, Caliban."
She took a look up at the sky, tipping her hat back just an inch to do so.
"Good Evening."
[forum cryptid: it/it's]-Aria is sitting in the grass outside, working on her hand with a screwdriver-
-A toolbox beside her-
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?Yeah, there's this... I was doing some maintenance and this little bug crawled in there and if I move my hand the plates might squish it...
-Gentle prods-
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything? The red kind?
-It's a little ladybird, down in the shiny metal split between her palm and knuckles-
-Aria's efforts are only scaring it in further-
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?"...Charming."
"Abs, you don't thi-"
"Really, Caliban. How many times do I need to tell you. Silence. Do pardon my companion. He's a regular chattermouth for a dead man. Regardless, I hardly meant cult. Are you really unfamiliar with the Guilds?"

[forum cryptid: it/it's]Blow on it...?
-She concentrates on her air coolant intakes, then blows gently-
-The ladybird absconds and flutters off, landing on Claudia's cheek-
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?

I've spoken to humans before- they have a lot of criticisms about zombies!
For one thing- apparently we tend to smell bad.
Due to the rotting. That's the other thing- they like their skin to not be rotting. They think it looks better that way.
The immortality isn't even that good according to some of them because they're not like- vampires who can be charming. They don't think we're charming!
There's also the whole- being dead thing that they don't really like for some reason.
Which- speaking as a spirit- I am also on that fence.
I just anchored myself to this corpse when it was fresh, and couldn't do anything about the skin changing colour...
