The gods of my world are still around. Quiet, too. But only because they were dealt a really bad wound after something happened 14,000 years ago. And that wound festered until their Authority faded into nothing, and all those mythological beasts you take for granted faded into... well, myth.

Sore legs.

Ahh, That's close enough that I won't protest it...
Our....'Ringleader' has gone missing, you see. My friend went out to look for them, but he gets lost quite easily....So, after a few days, we all decided to head out in search of him.

No, I wouldn't say so. The gods are part of our karmic cycle, just like the rest of us. They're not things to be venerated, except to avert their wrath.
So, when they started to bleed out after that event - which I'm guessing inspired tales of Ragnarok - man could thrive. Take the earth for themselves. The world may have been scorched, but so are freshly conquered lands, no?

He shakes his head.
"Doesn't matter. Harm repaired is harm repaired."
