(Link quips how that's dangerous, especially when you're constructing something as strong as a demigod...)
Instinct. Every animal with a brain stem has the instinct to fight or flight. We take pleasure from feelings of dominating other things, because that's how our primate ancestors could survive.
Think of it like... how your favorite anime stars a kid your age.

("Heck yeah!")
...Sorry. Rambled. I think I might actually legit be a bit autistic... whatever.
...Anyways. People want to feel strong. That's why they watch anime where they can project themselves on the hero. That's why they squash bugs, because it makes them feel strong.
And kids... they don't know any better. They will do anything to feel strong - even hurting another kid.
Main Room (Young Aichi)
-So kids pick on him because they want to be strong?-
"B-But that's not right..."
-You shouldn't hurt other people...-
"I-It's wrong...! I want to be strong, but I don't want to hurt people..."
-Poor Aichi still doesn't quite understand why someone would want to do that. Maybe he's just naive...-

...Heh.
(Link chuckles too as he prepares a second mug for Hayato. He totally gets why Hayato needs it now.)
>("I wonder...")
(Link isn't sure if coffee would've helped or hurt his adventure to destroy the Calamity.)
They're not monsters, they're just naive. Some of them probably lead worse lives than you do - wrangling with their own bullies, or abusive caretakers - so they use you as an outlet. To make themselves feel strong in this very fast world.
If you want to be strong, don't raise a fist. Instead, make them look for another outlet.

-He looks confused, Muramasa.-
