-Kaiba shoots a glancing glare at Jo, before smirking-
It certainly is. I take it you don't play.
Joey's Room
Ahh, 'kay! Lemmie explain the mat.
-He gestures to various points on the map-
So ya got ya deck, five slots for monstah cahds, five slots for spell and trap cahds, a slot in th'corner fa Field Spells, ya Graveyard, an' ya Extra Deck, where fusion monstahs go!
-He holds up a finger, looking at Aiichi-
So each turn's got three phases, give or take! A Main Phase, where ya play monstahs and trap cards, a Battle Phase, where ya attack with ya monstahs, and an End Phase, which is endin' ya turn! I'll start us off in my main phase with somethin' simple.
-He pulls a card from his hand and places it on the map-
Gooo, Alligator Sword!
Alligator Sword's a normal monstah without any effect, so he's simple to undastand!

Joey's Room (Aichi)
-Aichi is listening carefully even if Joey's going a little fast for him. So there's three different types of cards, a Graveyard (Is that similar to the Drop Zone perhaps? Or maybe it's like the Damage Zone?), an Extra Deck (He doesn't have one?), and around three phases in a turn? He thinks he understands somewhat?-
'Alligator Sword'..."
-He's looking at the card Joey placed on the mat.-

Jo stared at Kaiba with a vacant expression, still trying to hide his amusement. He inspected the rich boy's get up, agreeing that his entire wardrobe choice was worse than any other rich guy he remembered from Remnant.
"I tried like once in... Elementary school. The game was boring and I had very little free time so I decided I have better uses for it. I don't even remember what the game's name was. Anyway why are you wearing that on your neck? I'm legit curious, it's a very... eh... Unique choice for a pendant"

-Jo-
Do you just go around asking personal questions to every stranger you meet?
-Kei-
If you're looking to play coy, perhaps I can help you 'think' a little faster.
-He pulls a cub from his coat pocket and sets it on the table. Pressing down on top of it, the cube suddenly grows and unfolds into a metal briefcase.-
Awright, so Monstahs all got an attribute- in dis corner ova here....a type-...down here....and a level, which are dese stars up here! Ya can only play level 4 or lower monstahs straight from your hand! If ya wanna summon level 5 or 6 monstahs, ya gotta send a monstah on the field to the graveyard, an' for level 7 monstahs and up, it takes two.
So Alligator Sword's an Earth-Attribute, Beast-Type, Level 4 Monstah! Get the pic-cha?

Joey's Room (Aichi)
-So it's Aichi's turn then... He draws a card from his deck. So... maybe he should summon a monster?-
"I call—"
-Wait, no, not call... Aichi gets a sheepish look on his face and tries to correct himself.-
"—I-I summon 'Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress'
."
-Maybe Aichi needs an explanation for how effects work, Joey?-
I forgot that the color of links blend in a bit too much with the blue-colored text...

-That disdainful stare of his hasn't budged an inch, Kei.-
...Ooooh, lookidat! Ya summoned an effect monstah!
So effect monstahs got...well, effects to 'em! They do all sortsa stuff, and dey're pretty easy ta undastand if ya jus' read em. So give da card a read!
Plus, seems like she's got 200 more attack points den my Alligator Sword...
Joey's Room (Aichi)
-Aichi reads Lyla's effect. Joey doesn't seem to have any Spell or Trap cards so most of its effect can't activate, but he'll have to keep in mind the effect that activates during the End Phase.-
"S-So I can attack then?"
-Aichi flips his card sideways... Uh... Wrong card game, Aichi. It seems like it hasn't quite dawned on him that he made that mistake. You *may* need to correct him about that, Joey... Especially considering defense position monsters are supposed to be sideways...-
"I attack Alligator Sword with Lyla."
Do we have a deal?
-Joey laughs-
Well, you're gonna have to have it in attack mode ta do dat!
-He reaches over and realligns Aiichi's card-
See, when ya switch a monstah card to its side like dat, dat means ya switchin' it to defense mode! Ya can only switch modes durin' da main phase, too.
-He picks up Alligator Sword and puts it in the graveyard-
Awright, so dat destroys my Alligator Sword, and since dey were both in attack mode, I take the difference in dere attack as damage to my life points!
We'll keep it simple and have us start at 4000 for dis game, which means right now I got 3800 life points.
Joey's Room (Aichi)
-... Oh. Well Aichi's kind of blushing out of embarrassment now. He has a sheepish smile on his face.-
"S-Sorry..."
-Anyway... Life Points are the equivalent to the Damage Zone then? So the difference between their monster's attacks is the damage caused to the opponent. That makes sense.-
"Um... How do Spell and Trap cards work?"
-He's got a couple in his hand, but he's not so sure on how to use them.-
I'm not going to repeat myself.
Dose're easy t'get, too! You can play a spell card from ya hand if its effect'll do somethin', or you can set it face down on da field ta play it latah! Ya gotta set Trap cards from ya hand, though. No playin' 'dose face up right away! Plus, you gotta play em in ya Main Phase, just like Monstahs.
Heading to work now so will be v. v. Sporadic
Joey's Room (Aichi)
-Oh, OK.-
"I set two cards..."
-He places them in the appropriate area for spells and traps.-
"I end my turn. Oh, and Lyla's effect activates. I..."
-He looks at the card again.-
"...discard three cards from the top of my deck..."
-The top three cards sent to the Graveyard are two 'Shire, Lightsworn Spirit's and an 'Aurkus, Lightsworn Druid'.-
That's fine.
Exactly how many briefcases will jog your memory.
-Kaiba then sniffs the air, and retches-
Is someone slow-roasting a skunk in here?
-Joey smiles-
Halriiight! My move!
-He draws a card, and stares at his hand briefly-
...O-kay...Think I'll do dis!
-He sets a card face down on its side in his monster card area-
Ya can Set monstahs face down in defense position, raddah den face up in attack position!
Now I think I'll set a card and end my turn!
-He sets a card in the Spell/Trap zone-

Kitchen Business
Jo is in the kitchen, making coffee again, he blinked at the weirdo rich guy and the schoolgirl having what is supposedly a conversation.
"Hello there, what..." Johann said as he scratched his hair, looking at Kaiba.
"What the hell are you wearing on your neck? Is that a trading card?" He chuckled before coughing, he was holding himself back from laughing.
