Once I'm a vampire, I'm not enthralled. But I'm still a scared nineteen year old girl who's found herself thrown into a nasty, nasty place. And there doesn't seem any way out. So... I try to live it. I try to make something of it all, live like he lives. Luring, killing, terrorising.
... I do it for decades. Three decades.
In the last few years of it, though, it all starts flooding back. I learn my parents are dead. I start letting humans go, instead of draining them dead. I start... watching people, living their lives. I watch kids march off to fight in a war to end all wars, and see so few come back. And I know I need to get out. I need to get away from him, and away from myself.
So, when I'm brave enough, I get on a ship across the Atlantic. I get to America in 1919.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything? From there, well... I reinvent myself. I slum it, mostly. Not much need to buy food or have a place to live. Most people don't know I'm there, just a shadow that comes out at night. The first vampire to cross the channel, the only one in America. In Europe, it's an open secret that most of the upper crust families have at least one relative who sleeps in a coffin and dodders around in a cape each night, but in America... there's none of it.
1920s. Things are on the up and up. Suffrage. Swing dance. Little bars hidden under the stairs where girls can mingle. I get to know girls. Then I really get to know them. It feels right.

What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything? The night life was really something... I find people, people who don't mind being fed on. You meet the most unique people in the dead of night. So I subsist on that, just taking a little bit at a time.
... 1931. I sneak into a movie theatre, and I see something amazing. Dracula.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?Eheheheh...
Did I tell you I got his autograph? On my bra?
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?Getting ahead of myself.
So uh... after seeing that film, I get my ass down to Hollywood, like so many young women. I hang around the sets, strike up conversations, get to know people. Before long, it's an open secret that those Hammer monster movies are being made with an actual vampire on set. I'm mingling with all kinds of auteurs and actors. And... I meet the first person I ever fell in love with. Cassandra.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?(Meanwhile, in the woods, Michael is trudging through the trees in his new Arsenal lookalike armour.)
(Julieta is still making adjustments to the Reginlaze. Funny how maintenance for a mech when it comes to only one person can stretch over multiple days?)

-PANE--Has decided to get some exercise today and walk around the woods-
-and if convoy is still on, they take note of Michael and give him a strange look-
-(this also begs the question what's his armor look like because i haven't been on in ages hellooooo)-
mario is red, i am green, i try my best, but everyone's mean(Well, that's a good question, seeing as I really need to get some of those designs done, but anyway: The armour is essentially a red Power Armour version of the Graze Ritter
with a right shoulder-mounted cannon and a left shoulder-mounted missile pod installed and a rifle being carried in his hands. The sword is magnetically attached to the left hip-mounted plating.
...Also, hi, Rivux!)
...Yes I know, I'm lazy.
(Michael is just looking around, taking careful steps, and ocassionally aiming his rifle at things.)

"We all fail. We all make mistakes. That is what makes us human."(Michael turns toward Pane, hearing his voice and after giving the newcomer (at least, to him) a once-over, he cocks his head slightly, that little optical slit glaring at you, Pane.)
Hmmm. So you're not a threat?

-Pane doesn't appreciate the look they're feeling... But they just nod back at him-So long as that gun doesn't goes off anywhere near me or anyone else... we're cool.
-Their stance relaxes a little, but they don't seem to trust Michael yet-
mario is red, i am green, i try my best, but everyone's mean[AC:...That's fair.]]
(After he clips the rifle onto a magnetic holster, he accesses something on his gauntlet that makes the armour... Disappear? What Pane should see in front of them now is a young red-headed man, in a fancy white and blue uniform
.... and not blond like the avvie shows.)
...Better a friendly, human face than a robotic and menacing one, would you agree?

Oh...! Thank goodness, I thought I was dealing with something uh...-They look off to the side, concerned for a moment, before shaking their head-
Never mind. What were you doing out here looking like that?
-They stand upright again, relaxing entirely-
-They were oddly unfazed by Michael's armor just disappearing like that-
mario is red, i am green, i try my best, but everyone's mean...Do you mean the armour?.
It's been something I've been testing out recently, and it's not something that's... well, common in my home dimension. It was actually built for me by a friend here. It certainly has its... advantages.
...Did you think I was an alien or something?

"We all fail. We all make mistakes. That is what makes us human."

Eires went through a full-body shiver, listening.
