Oh, this? Er... it's just a garage. It was supposed to be portable, but... yeah. It's stuck here now.
(per their Trainers' declarations, the Metagross and Garchomp in the video charge at one another to decide the match with a final clash—!)
...Huh?
(but at the exact moment before they collide, Hoshi pauses the video and turns back to Audrey)
Oh, this? It's a Pokémon battle.
FURYAH!!
(reinforcing her leg, she kicks it off the chains with a MIGHTY SIDE KICK)
Haah... hey, Marcia, how many more bags d'we got hanging up here?
(okay how could she even tell it was you when transformed)
Well, basically, it's like an athletic competition of sorts. A Trainer and their Pokémon - er, basically these mystical, sentient creatures - team up to test their skill against other Trainers and Pokémon.
(clears his throat after saying that)
("Okay, that's fallback explanation A... let's see if she gets the concept.")
(sighs in annoyance because if this guy is really accusing him of being a goddamn traitor...)
...Okay, first of all, that was hardly my intention.
Second, when I asked about her shoulder not long after she was shot, I asked what happened, and it turned out her friend was shot. So naturally, I accompanied her to where he was and had to perform surgery to remove a bullet he had embedded in his stomach. The next morning afterwards, the two of them disappeared, and so I decided to look for a radio.
I legitimately thought that by contacting her via said radio that I had found in the outpost, I would be able to find out where she was. Now, granted, I didn't know one of his subordinates was going to answer, and I legitimately thought that they'd actually help me. It wasn't that long before Link, a friend of mine who was with me at the time, realised that their intentions weren't too altruistic.
So, I apologise if I endangered her, but I genuinely thought I was doing the right thing.
(Yeah, he clearly doesn't like you now, Lars. That smile? Definitely not helping.)

"We all fail. We all make mistakes. That is what makes us human."If he is reacting, then he isn't showing it—his expression returning to a neutral gaze as he listened, nodding attentively.
"Intentions does not change the nature of the deed itself Mr. Tapferin," he added. "However, I thank you for...taking care of her, and her friend there."

всегда веренWell, like - you've got the same speech pattern and all, right? Doesn't exactly lend you well to disguise...
(turns back to the video, unpausing it)
("I was hoping to play this particular clash over again frame-by-frame, but... eh. I can do that later.")
(the instant the video is unpaused, the Metagross' claw and Garchomp's arm blade collide with one another, as if gearing to overpower the other...)
(...but a fraction of a second into this clash, one of the Metagross' other three arms extends out faster than the eye can see, decking the Garchomp across the face and sending it flying)

"It's quite alright, I'm a quiet lady, if I do say so myself! Nyehehe! So! What's this humble creation of yours? It's quite... well, beyond my time!"
