She sighs, sitting back and putting the book on her lap.
"...I-I...got involved with a matter involving...Cloud—and a friend of his fr-no, employer, and with that—Mr. Michael, Mr. Link...a-and...there's the matter of—the demon-person, who's looking for someone.
"T-Then—earlier this month, I-found out that Mr. M-Michael inadvertently activated one of the mothballed comm-gear, and....c-contacted a warlord. A-A...major one, it seems. I-I'm...have been on the lookout for them. P-Patrolling, making sure they won't attack the house. T-Then...I have to—ah, work with Mr. Nikolai, then...find a fresh-enough corpse—and freeze it. T-Then...I need to...go home."
She shivers as she lies down, turning around to look at Aommatos. "...T-Then...I...might have a special visitor."
всегда веренWell- certainly. Go ahead. Aelfi is snoozing.
Your brother, hmm.
And Nikola reforming the cabal doesn't surprise me.
We became bloated.
And when exposed it made it untenable to continue. Hence why- as soon as I knew that the Templars would chase me here- that I would need to do something about it.

Say you help one of them out of a... sticky situation. Only to find out that you would have to have your memory of them erased so that they can still live in peace without worry of premature rediscovery.
How would you react to that?
"We all fail. We all make mistakes. That is what makes us human."Well... That is- a very good question...
The archaeologist in me says I wouldn't want to have my memory erased- and try to become a confidante...
A middle-man or something. That's what the diplomat also says.
Ultimately I'd wonder what dangers there are if they're discovered early.
Because they must surely have a reason for their isolation.
Apart from being a dick.
Well- of course the something i did was fake my death.
... But tell me about your brother.

"H-he was...in my unit. A-A...kindly man, if-you are with him, or-ah, pleasant with him. I-I...think he's been promoted-on account of his...skills and merit. The-information are fragmented, b-but...I think he's...a colonel, now. Some kind of—special unit leader."
всегда веренWell, I got the impression that whatever happened in their world was bad enough that only did they have to move underground, they apparently hate humans with a passion.
...Most humans, anyway.
In a way, they're acting not so differently to how Gjallarhorn are supposed to operate: to protect their citizens from any potential threats in the way they see fit.

"We all fail. We all make mistakes. That is what makes us human."The only question at that point is whether the danger still exists for them- and can be proven... but I suppose if it was a matter of- national security- as long as I could trust them to be careful in the process, I'd be fine with not knowing about one civilization or people...
Especially if it's helping them. After all- this is one experience with them- years from now you may not even really remember it regardless. How would this be different?
So he's a competent military man. And kind?
... Yet why didn't I hear of him before? You- seem to have some trepidation about it.

Hmmm. True.
"We all fail. We all make mistakes. That is what makes us human."
