There is a brief static, fizzling out in response before it cleared up- and a gruff, definitely male voice on the other side of the communications answered back.
"'Ello, who this?", it replied to rambunctious cheers and hoots from the background along with shootings and guns firing wildly.

(Attempting to speak to the person on the other side in the most polite way possible, he asks.)
Uhm, hello there. You wouldn't happen to know what frequency a soldier known as 'Liman' communicates on? I'm asking on behalf of her commanding officer.

"We all fail. We all make mistakes. That is what makes us human."(Oh, by the graciousness of Agnika Kaieru, I can't believe this is happening.)
Well, the person I report to has asked his superior about where she might have gone since she hasn't reported back in a while. Unfortunately, they're not willing to answer, and well... we're really worried about her.
It's for a classified mission, but you wouldn't happen to know what her frequency is?

Homura: Hmm. We need to find out exactly what this Virus wants with Ms. Audrey.

Iwasawa: True, the guitars are the ones who usually get top-billing in a given song. (idle strum of the strings) But without someone to set a steady beat for everyone to follow, it just sounds like a mess.

There is nothing in this briefcase that you could possibly want. You have nothing to gain from withholding the truth from me.

Homura: (E, sighs) We'd have to find her first.
(V) ...I thought you didn't give a damn about who does what with what you traffic.

Iwasawa: We're not robots with that kind of precision. When a band performs, it's more important that the notes from everyone's instruments flow together to the same beat than it is to get the exact tempo the writer had in mind when she wrote the notes down on paper. And sometimes the crowd is such that it's better to go off-script and do something improv - the drummer's beat serves as the baseline to work off of for everyone else.

(...Do I have the wrong frequency?)
(Maybe if I can switch to all channels...)
(He speaks into the headset again after fiddling with the device once more, hoping to reach Liman.)
Liman? This is Specialist-Captain Michael Tapferin of the Gjallarhorn Inspection Bureau, come in, Liman. Answer me, soldier, where are you?
