She sighs, and gives a tired giggle- becoming a bit drawn out in the end.
"I-I know, r-right?"
"M-Me, a...l-lowly soldier from some...some-some....err- some...b-backwards mining town...in some-tiresome war somewhere...g-got enga-b-bethroted to a prince...! Wh-What are the chances?"
And she sighs again-this time, more...satisfied- and Jack can tell- a genuine, calm smile blossoming on her lips.
"...S-Still-he...w-well, its...its romantic, mushy almost-a-and cliche. But-h-he's....the love o-of my admittedly short life. I-I wouldn't trade him for anything else."
всегда веренIt sounds like you'd find the tale in the romance section of a book store.
Its the rags to riches archetype...
What was it- Pride and Prejudice?
Just like that.
Never read the trash myself- romance was never my thing.
But I'm happy for you.
It's not often that people find those with such a connection like that.
1.5 imperial gallons of tea were consumed during the writing of this post...Of course.
What am I thinking? A supposed heir of the Seven Stars gets stuck in a place where Gjallarhorn doesn't even exist to a lot of people.
Ironic, huh?
And of course not everyone pays attention to when reality is at risk of falling apart.

"We all fail. We all make mistakes. That is what makes us human.""He-ehe...y-yeah-and...I-I...think its-h-he reciprocates as well."
The blush on her cheeks getting redder by the second.
"...E-Enough about me-g-gushing about him-w-we...would run out of time i-in the world if I go on and on a-about him."
"W-What about you, M-Mr. Griffin? Anything particular t-that happened while...in-in the hundreds of years?"

In one smooth motion, her rifle was off her back and into her hands, held in a ready position. She held her breath as she scanned to where the branch cracking was heard from.
"...Y-Yes, it...m-might be. J-Just a boar...or a d-deer, yeah..."
And slowly, she breathed in, lowering her rifle and her shoulders releasing a bit of tension.

Non Nobus Domine, Griffin.
What-?

However in her none too enthusiastic response to attempt to sideline him, she didn't watch where she was rushing towards- there is a possibility that she might be in the line of fire of the gun.

Griffin's grunt of pain however, brought her attention off her own injury and towards him- as well as his attacker. With a growl and a bark of expletives in Helghan, she rushed at him while holding her shoulder with her good arm and winded for a kick towards the downed man as Griffin coughs.
Stopping and looking between the two, she scowled as she went over to him and put his arms around her shoulder, attempting to support him and get him away from this current situation by hobbling over into the bushes.
