I can do legwork! I climbed Mount Coronet on foot and when I got to the top I punched this lady with stupid hair right in her stupid-haired face.
Do you have fans? Am I supposed to make a costume, or is it optional, or is it reserved for heroes that get really, really famous?
-to Cliff- Shadows are cool, yeah, but you can't name things "Shadow". That's dumb.
-Frowns- You can just tell me it's a dumb idea. I'm almost thirteen years old, I can handle it. I mean I'll probably still do it anyway, but I'll keep in mind what you say while I'm doing it.
-to Cliff- It's a good thing I'm gonna do it full-time, then. Well, basically full-time. I've still got my, uh... other job. -Clutches her bag tightly- But it'll be really easy to do 'em both at once.
I thought about a lot of stuff after I beat Diantha. Actors are another kind of superhero, if you think about it! They assume a created identity and go out in front of millions of people to teach us to fight for good against evil. And "Essentia" can do the best she can, but the world is big, and it's gonna take more than guts and a robot suit, you know? There's really bad people out there — people that would kill other people if they could. If we hadn't been there, they wouldn't have stopped themselves.
I wanna help, and there's nobody I know that's better at taking down bad guys that wanna rule the world better than me.
-Rummages through her bag for another galette- You guys want a pastry? I've got a gazillion of these things.

-Hands him a box of assorted pastries- I went overboard and bought stuff at every cafe on North Boulevard, so you're doing me a favour. One of 'em gave me a whole cake if I promised to never come back again. -Opens a water bottle to wash it all down-
-to Saitama- It's like that one movie, you know? The one with Diantha where she co-starred with that famous Lucario, Mortimer. "Cheri Blossom Blade". The one where she and Mortimer beat up all those guys still in her wedding dress after her husband was murdered. There's supposed to be a part three but I think the director said he just wasn't interested, which is super lame because those movies were so cool.
...So, uh, anyway. It's a real honour to meet real superheroes. I didn't think there were any.

... I don't think "Shadow" is too pretentious. Shadows can be, uh, cool, ma'am.
