The people are very diverse. They have to be, over two billion people live in Kejlras. They're from all corners of the world, from Uhn-Fahr to Gilre to Kentil to Kasu to Liorni. Everyone wants to live in Kejlras. It's the richest, most powerful, most populous place in the entire world. People abandon their home countries en masse to go there. It's how the city stays rich and powerful.
Everyone's very accepting there. There's a big, grand commitment to the overall improvement of society, which everyone takes very seriously. Even the immigrants take it seriously. The only way things stay the way they are is through the commitment and generosity of everyone involved.
But it's always been like that, even when Kejlras was just a small mining and fishing town way up at the top of the world. Everything was harsh there. The only way to survive was to band together, which everyone did. The people of Kejlras have always stuck close to each other throughout the years. They did it when it was just a mine, they did it when it became the bank of the world, they did it when it was serially invaded, and they did it when it was the preeminent power of the world.

I... haven't really been watching it recently.
I live in a constant state of fear and misery.
