-nods- Zaracas most likely was... out of my crew at least.
Though there were quite a lot of us.
My actions sparked a golden age of piracy- men following in my wake to take to the seas.
It's how the state was made after all.
Who knows out of all those crews... which one gave the governments the ticket to our destruction. Who among them sought to destroy the Sanguina Free State.
There are likely suspects sure... but for all those times that we may have assumed someone didn't turn up because of death of sickness, or someone saw them take a beating over a barroom bet, and were presumed dead of injuries... All those that we may have thought beyond the point of saving.
One more name, one more face- joins the list.

What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything? There was one... a Captain.
Roman. Varus.
He was a traitor who tried to kill me.
Six months before the fall he made his move... I was down south- one of the Australian ports.
I was staying in a small hotel there- his crew and ship docked. He wasn't confident to take me on in a battle on the water.
So he decided to spring it on me when I was on-land, away from my state.
I counted five bullets that I put in his chest- but time was short, the commotion that his crew's assault on mine, resulting in a firefight on the streets, alerted the Swedish Colonial Authorities.
So- while we did make it out, with some casualties... him and his crew were left behind. Who knows whether his crew would've known enough- or if by some miracle- he survived.

I live in a constant state of fear and misery.
