If by accident, or consequence of my actions, a friend of mine died- I would believe that I have to accept that I made a mistake, and learn from it for the future.
To 'correct' things by bringing them back would be like invalidating the lesson learned. Because if I just brought back everyone of my friends who died... it'd become meaningless.
Because if I, or they, knew that Death was able to be overridden, then why care about life? You can just come back anyway if death can be overridden.
