-Wrath puts on the gel-
Thank you... what was your name?
@Homura/Silver: There's a couple important distinctions. For one, they are an older race than demons, so they've been around in Hell for longer than my kind. The second... is they are entirely motivated to cause as much suffering to people as they possibly can. They were, at least initially, meant to enact punishment upon the damned. This arrangement... was incredibly foolish, and ended in disaster.

Woops, edited.
To put it simply... there came a time when people would no longer tolerate the existence of a realm in which people were tortured indefinitely. No mortal crimes and indescretions could possibly justify that sort of punishment. Hell itself become its own realm with its own people and culture, inhabited by a new generation of demons. Overall this was a very good change... but there was a problem. The Daemons no longer had a purpose, a reason to exist. In their anger, they seeked to create a new Hell on Earth, and launched an attack on mankind. They were soundly defeated, but... they're still around. They have managed to somehow increase their numbers by reanimating corpses.
@Homura: Regular demons... have the same sort of moral compass as a human. That is the most important difference.

-Von might run into Gracia, who is sitting happily by a stream-
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?-She looks up-
Hello. Are you looking for Harriet?
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?

-Yep, Wraffu looks pretty beat up-
Daemons. Might not seem like much of a distinction, but they're completely different beings where I come from.
