Therefore- the quality of a knife is inherently sharp.
Our conceptual view of the knife- is one of a sharp object.
-he puts the knife down- So- therefore- we can demonstrate this concept in our minds.
And we can sharpen an otherwise blunt knife, using the knife itself as our catalyst.
-he holds the knife by the blade- All that would be left, is to be in the correct mindset- and to use the power of words to guide our magic along.

Qualities make up the world- and our minds can interpret the qualities of things by looking at their logic.
Thereby in understanding the laws which make up the world, we can know in what way they can be bent, and manipulated.
-he rubs his hand against the blade, whilst his hand glows golden- Hic, ut sumere machaeram acri et acuta erit hoc verum esse scio.
-and then he takes the knife, and cuts the paper much more easily- Here, I take the knife to be sharp, and sharp it shall be, for this I know to be true.
Is what I said.

1.5 imperial gallons of tea were consumed during the writing of this postNot quite.
Here is where we can approach it from a populist's view.
There are certain laws to the universe- ones that you can see are for the most part- universal.
One of these laws is of course... the law of opposites.
If we take that law, and hold that it is possible for a knife to be blunt, due to a knife being able to be sharp, then one can manipulate the law in a sort of- slider fashion.
Where once it is sharp, it becomes blunt because it is possible for it to be blunt- just like a candle can be in the darkness because it is not always producing light.

We'll return to the theoretical as we mostly talked of qualities yesterday.
The direct manipulation of quality, without regard to laws- is one of the hardest things to do.
Its' what separates intellectual magicians from populists.

-nods- I believe we're moving onto applied magic today, aren't we. Unless there's another topic of theory you'd rather do. -holding the knife in his hands, resting its' blade against his fingers on the other hand-
