Junkyard's my home, anyway.
I call myself Junk-Bot.
Wasn't my original name, not the one my 'original' creators gave me.
I don't really talk to many robotics personnel. Might be interesting or re-affirming of assumptions that I've made.
1.5 imperial gallons of tea were consumed during the writing of this postAh- yes- the cat person thing.
Well- I was Model 45061-Alpha-Zeta of the Liandri Mining Corporation's line of Mk1 Domestic Robots.
Originally.
I was bought, like a commodity of course, by a manager of one of Liandri's many mining operations. I believe it was on a moon somewhere.
The miners called me 'Ian.' Shortening the Liandri.
1.5 imperial gallons of tea were consumed during the writing of this post-nods- Pretty much horrible. But I lived with the cleaning when I could do it. I had a sense of purpose back then.
Which apparently is not what I was intended for- doing janitor and other domestic duties around the facility.
The manager there- bought me in order to get himself a robot that he could cheaply reprogram to be- Tournament standard, and throw me into competing in the Liandri Grand Tournament.
Pretty much bought a butler to turn into a one-man-army killing machine on the cheap- rather than getting something designed for it.

1.5 imperial gallons of tea were consumed during the writing of this postTechnically it was an in-house purchase.
So yeah- that guy reprogrammed me and gave me training in weapons and techniques necessary for the tournament. As well as important things like being able to taunt.
But- it wouldn't last.
Still, though. That's not even one part, yet.
-shrugs- Maybe I'll tell more later.

The capability of being bored was fashioned from literally spending years alone in a Junkyard.
With nothing else around.
One thing to note though- I did get exceedingly good at throwing bath-tubs.
-shrugs- I've been my own creator about- twice. I've had three different bodies.
