-nods- It started...
About- well.
400 years ago, I think.
I'll be the 13th King of Nonsduin.
Back then- before Nonsduin existed- our people were- simple folk. Farmers, hunters and the like.
Not united- family units.
That was until the Autduin came- from the east. An army of bandits of many different races.
They united the land into the land of Nonsduin- but they weren't good rulers...

Corrupt.
Oppressive.
It got to the point after- I think it was the 5th King of Autduin- when a maid from their court decided she had to do something.
Which is when she found the White Dragon in the Forests of Versduin.
Seeing as she knew no other way to overthrow the Autduin she asked the Dragon to help overturn the Autduin, and take power. But- the Dragon said that he could not be the one to do so, for he was no human, like the people of Nonsduin. He was a pure-blooded dragon.
So... the maid decided that she would bear the dragon a child- one who was powerful enough to take on the Autduin, and yet was still mostly human.

Here's where- the royal knowledge differs from the public...
The public believes- that Harrald The First was a half-blood.
... He was actually a full-blooded dragon. Which meant- he had both his parental human and dragon forms.
He was raised in secret in the forest- by the Forest-Sprite, Khereri-Hirari- a friend of the dragons'.
And- well. There were- 3 Towers in the Capital. Large symbols of the oppression- marvels of engineering.
The- public believes that Harrald's father- the 'First' white dragon, is the one who burned down the buildings during the night that the Autduin were thrown out. The- night we celebrate as the Night of the Three Towers.
But- it was actually Harrald himself that did it.
But- either way... Harrald the First- triumphed over the Autduin, and freed the people.
It was then that he established the name of his family, ushering in the Age of the Regeduin- and proclaimed that the people of Nonsduin would never be oppressed- and named the White Dragon- his father- as the Protector of Nonsduin.
In truth- when he had a son that was of age, we as a family, know that he retired to take on the duties that his father had before him. And that title- of being the Protector of Nonsduin- has been with us through generations- the last King is always the Protector.
But the public- believes it is all the same dragon.

I wouldn't mind. Go ahead.
I live in a constant state of fear and misery.
