-Holds out here hand-
Okay. Come on.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything? Why is your mouth like that?
Very well... I was the prince by birthright of a certain kingdom. Three gods had tasked me to determine which of them was fairest — the queen of the gods offered to make me king of the world, the goddess of wisdom offered me skill in the pursuit of warfare, and the goddess of love offered me the world's most beautiful woman. -he cracks a smile here- Naturally, I chose love. Her name was Helen, and she was indeed the most beautiful woman in the world. The face that launched a thousand ships...

...But this was not without a cost. She had many suitors in her youth, and was already betrothed to the great king Menelaus. I had made enemies of them all with my choice. So, the forces of Greece armed themselves and sallied forth in their ships to battle, to besiege the walled city of Troy and free the king's bride to be.
If Troy had withstood their assault, we would not be discussing this. Though valiant in their efforts, they could not stand against the assembled armies of the Greeks. The city burned, and I died along with it. But this battle was remembered by the survivors, and by their descendants, and by the cultures that followed, even as the only evidence of Troy's existence slipped away to ash and dust. The heroes of that war - on both sides - were remembered as Heroic Spirits, like myself. Thus, we were able to be summoned into the system called the 'Holy Grail War.' I was summoned into one such battle as a Servant of the Archer class, and did surprisingly well - but only via underhanded means and dirty tricks. By the end of it, I was the only servant left. The grail thus granted me my wish — to fight the Trojan War once more, and to win it, thus rewriting history in our favor.
But this wish was flawed. The grail, powerful as it is, could not cause such a massive rewriting of the world. Rather, this wish only opened the 'possibility' of this world being rewritten — namely, by altering me. I now have the ability to take and utilize the Noble Phantasms of any Servants I defeat in honorable battle - starting with Dyrnwyn, the blade of Bouddica. I, additionally, retain my memory in between summonings. If I am to win one more Holy Grail War, if I am to make my wish a reality, then I must become as strong as I can, no matter the cost.
That is why I do what I do. If I wish to correct the mistake I had made, I must fight. If I wish for my home to be restored, I must fight. There is no joy to be had in it, but it is my duty. Do you understand it now?
-Tallis- I already have his Yew Bow. I cannot take it again.
That is a cold comfort, admittedly. You are right to hate me, though I bear no ill will towards either of you. But I will promise this - I will bring no harm to you and yours. Does that allay your concerns?
...This is good for him - being here, I mean.
